Stupid as it may be, it is, indeed, still a raging debate.
You shut your mouth about Shadowrun! I loved that game!
lol sorry, I just could not get into it.
To each their own sir! I thought it had a solid base for a great game however. I loved the idea of classes in a shooter. Plus teleporting + katana was so fun. Anyway! Not to get off topic! lol
1536 Onyx peak MnK player here. Almost all of my games from Diamond 4 to Onyx were Solo queue as well.
I gave up on Halo. The ELO system is ridiculous and I have to play my -Yoink!- off to do as good as the game thinks I need to do. I can play great a few games, then lose with a team that has NO MICS half the time and then lose all my progress in an instant with a game that I only went like a 1.0 kdr instead of dominating or something like that.
Tired of playing and thinking that my skill ceiling is only so high because the controller will always be more consistent. Itās a mental barrier that Iām sick of dealing with. Did my opponent really out play me? Did he really have a better KDR, accuracy, etc? Of course he did⦠heās on the better input.
Sure movement is a bit better on MnK, but Iāve watched enough pro players that know how to use a controller efficiently and their movement isnt far off AT ALL. But, of course this is one of the biggest arguments.
I havenāt played for over a week and donāt plan on it anytime soon.
CS:GO and Valorant are still more fun and I know when I die I didnāt get owned by a robotās aim.
Whatever. I got Onyx solo queuing vs controller players in Open. Most of the people I lose to have insane stats; higher KDR, higher accuracy, higher headshot accuracy⦠Almost unrealistic statistics.
You controller players can have your game. Have fun. Iāve used MnK since I was 3 years old. I am 31 years old now. Why would I pick up an inferior handicapped input method to play one free online game that they BOTCHED hard as hell anyway?
BTW I had about 600 matches played too.
No I still see people on Steam describing the aim assist as making console players go 100-0. Itās actually pretty weak if you ask me.
Iām tired of these posts⦠the PC kids out there that tout theyāre the best because they use a PC are the first to cry when they get beat by a person using what they consider an inferior system. Go kick rocksā¦
Itās funny cuz itās the complete opposite⦠we are NOT the best. In fact, we can barely fairly compete. Let me see you do anything other than play an Xbox game with a controller. Mouse and Keyboards are used for much more than just gaming.
Why are any of you having this debate when the problem is lack of PC optimization, Desync issues, and lack of optimization as a whole? I think this should be reserved when this half wit developer fixes their issues and optimizes this game for the platforms it has released on. Until then, there is no need to really care because youāll never know if youāre dying by a guy with huge aim assist and bullet mag or just because the desync and lag is this horrible. What does the input matter when my AR takes a second to register shots and deaths take another second to register after they actually died? Lmao
Yeah, not really true though. Iām mouse and keyboard and I wonāt go back to controller ever. I like it and Iām sticking to it. I feel much more free on a keyboard like Iām not restricted and Iāll just keep getting better. The sluggish looking on controller is enough for me to throw them in the garbage.
You done now? All Iām reading is more useless ranting.
While i do agree with you that MnK players have left. I dont think they are all gone. They just got tired of talking to a brick wall when it came to the AA. I personally was a MnK user for 7-8 years prior to Infinite. I made the switch to controller about 2 weeks ago and havenāt gone back. There is nothing wrong with a game favoring one input to another. Controller has an advantage in a game like halo because it requires you to remain on target for an extended period of time unlike call of duty where time to kill is very short, and the aim assist while much lower than previous titles still provides just enough to edge out MnK players.
And im not trying to say controller is an aimbot that requireds zero skill from the user. You still need proper movement and crosshair placement.
Wrong, people quit because the gameās networking is entirely broke. You can be a super high KDA MKB player and still suck cos the Desync just screws you all ways till sunday.
I really donāt have issues with network or desync. I have been placed in a few matches that were over 200ms ping, but normally Iām in matches with 5ms ping. The ones who are complaining about network/lag/desync issues, are you on WiFi? Are you using automatic DNS, generic Google/Cloudfare DNS or ran software to find the best DNS for your ISP?
It was kinda dead until a few days ago when a men went 26-7 in an oddball game against lower skilled players.
TBH I donāt really get the hub hub. This game overall has a very weak controller aim assist compared to most shooters, even compared to other halo games.
