The menus are messy

One thing I noticed, especially after watching this video, is that the menus for armor and such in Halo 4 are not very organized. What I mean, is that I’m not a fan of each individual skin for every helmet showing up as its own option in the menu as you scroll down. Reach did it well, where you only see the base helmet, until you select it and see all the attachments available for it.

I hope something like this is implemented into Halo 4, where you can only view the skins and attachments (maybe?) after selecting the helmet. It provides for a much nicer, more organized menu, and it’s something that I’d like to see implemented. Much less scrolling. This is only a minor concern, and it wouldn’t be terrible if this wasn’t fixed, but it is something that I’d prefer over the current menu layout. This could also work with weapon skins and such. This could possibly just be the way they set it up in PAX, so I’m not going to jump to any major conclusions just yet, but it is something I noticed and would like to express my concerns about.

I’m sure it will look better in the final game.

I agree. I’d make it much more organized.

Mainly the weapons though. When I’m modifying a loadout in a game, I don’t want to scroll down for a full mi ute just to find the gun I want because its buried in skins.

It really does seem as though we would take forever scrolling through every item twice.

We’ll hopefully see something more akin to Reach’s at release.
