The melee is really inconsistent and in a lot of cases it’s hard to understand how or why it killed you or didn’t do damage. The lunge needs polish and consistency. Additionally the melee needs to have a longer time between hits.
The lack of collision and almost zero lunge makes melee pretty useless.
I just wanted to add that when you die, it sounds like your getting hit over the head… kind of related.

I can never tell what I’ve been killed by. Always the same dull thud.
Yeah feels massively inconsistent to me in lunge range.
Potentially it’s further when you sprint, I dunno? Just feels useless. Most the time with the rapid kill times the player is dead before you’re touching them.
I haven’t been able to get a single backsmack in the entire flight.
Compared to the other Halo games Infinite’s melee lunge range is non-existent. I basically have to pull up crotch to butt in order to even be able to hit them.

Ya nade deaths and melee deaths sound the same, just a generic thud. No variety
