I would let the player choose the type of grenade they want to use but only “ONE” and remove the grenades from the map. This change alone would already increase gunplay from 33% to 49%, which is great for the shooter’s health.
For the melee-hit I would do this
It would reduce the range of the Melee to “Normal” ranges for now, the range of the hit covers a lot of distance and it would also double the cooldown of the melee.
With these two changes people would no longer make melee-spam now they would have to think much better how to use this resource and due to the reduction in range, players would no longer try to get so close because the “Guns” would punish them and yes the gunplay would increase 49% to 65%
65% gunplay vs 33% already sounds like “acceptable levels” to me
For aim-assist a nerf of 7% would be “fair” to ask the players for more “Mechanicals and that the controller does not play for them”

You must understand that you cannot base your game on “cheap and no honor” tactics a balance is needed if you want your game to survive.
Halo 4 and Halo 5 were total FAILS if the formula had been renewed and adapted to “fair” things, there would be HALOS every 3 years not every 10 years
If you want those settings, go make your own in customs and see if people prefer it. And the whole choosing which grenade is a load out feature, which we don’t want in Halo.
Where are the stupid moderators? They are excellent for sending private messages “Do not answer ugly way” to other users, but if an animal like this comes to insult IT, THEY ALLOW IT
Well, for starters the triangle has always been, and still is more like 50% gunplay, 30% grenades, 20% melee… Heck for high-skill players it’s even more skewed towards gunplay and less towards Melee because fighting at range, and from positions that aren’t easily nadeable is simply smart for survivablility.
But I’ve found Infinite to be pretty well balanced. Frag grenades might need their radius toned down a little bit but the other nades feel perfect as-is. And Melee is, well, Melee. It’s not busted like no-bleedthrough Reach. And it’s not as… Worthless… As 2 without button combos.
My only issue with Melee in Infinite has more to do with collision wonkiness than anything. When players aren’t “solid” objects melee just doesn’t feel kinetic, and it’s super busted that you can just hold forward after a melee and walk right through the opponent to the other side.

You’re complaining about a 20 year formula not being balanced/fair and want it to mainly just be gunplay. You’ve ignored everyone else in this thread who’ve come to inform you that Halo has always been this way and anyone who’s ever worked on Halo knows that the core experience is the golden triangle.
It’s not rocket science. Your complaints are actually invalid because that is something that’s not going to change, it’s a fundamental level of the game.
I’m agree with you about the Number of grenades, two are too much, they should give ti every player a single grenade for spawn. Very often the game comes down to throwing random grenades and dying from random grenades, and you fail to implement strategies if you always find 50 grenades against
