Seriously. I see people complaining about the Medals in Halo 4 all the time, but to be honest, the whole point behind their design is that they look like an actual element of your Spartan’s Canon HuD for the sake of War Games training.
It’s REALLY not a bad thing. If anything, I like that they won’t be nearly as in your face distracting. I kinda wish they were a little less colourful this time around, at least some of them, than they are in the E3 Build.
They’ve really dug on me now…

All 343i said is that the E3 build wasn’t the final design for all the medals we saw.
To be honest, if they change them to look more like the HuD I’ll be pretty happy.
I’m not too worried about what the medals look like.

seems to me like this whole “canon” thing is just some BS that makes games worse for no reason other than to appease some kids and their undeserved sense of entitlement.
Why worry about something so insignificant?
I hope 343 changes the medals. The new ones are fine, but why change the old ones (sprees, multi-kills, etc.)? This is one of the only things in Halo 4 that I am disappointed about. Everything else looks amazing.

If the medals were canon they would probably be more military looking, and you wouldn’t get a medal for killing someone with a rocket. That is a waste of valuble ammo.
Can everyone stop using canon as an excuse? I guess if Halo 4 sucks, it’s canon’s fault. The medals are just place holders. They look like the ones in the Reach beta. That’s it.
