Mcdonalds? You’re probably wondering what that has to do with Halo 4 right? Well, let me explain what TMCDS is:
“the condition where marketed goods and technologies are processed into disgusting, fake and over-produced items. Popular goods affected by TMCDS is fast food, popular clothing lines, movies (especially of the blockbuster genre), pop music and Call of Duty.”
Now Halo Reach was heavily affected by this syndrome as mechanics were simplified, additions were made to cater to newbies, the campaign was thrown to the side while the mulitplayer was highlited, cheap elements were thrown in and the over-all quality of Reach was poor.
And of Halo 4? I’m afraid that TMCDS is going to be rampant in the game. But that’s all speculation as of now, 343 could wisely go back the brilliance of Halo CE to Halo 3. Sure the plot was convoluted, but the multiplayer wasn’t filled with cheap, artificial gimmicks (aka armor abilities). The original Halo series was mainstream, yet it didn’t let that affect the quality of the game.
So let’s hope 343 cures Halo of TMCDS
