It’s more like stealing from a store, and the owner not bothering to call the cops.
Its like putting a potato in a orange stall.
Its not suppose to make sense.
just bored atm

False, it’s like going into a store where their policy more often than not states that the tag on the product is what they’ll honour, not the till. And in this case, someone accidentally put a free tag on said product. And ownership has already openly stated they were at fault by that misplaced tag.

Bingo.
Microsoft’s fault, not ours.
> It’s more like stealing from a store, and the owner not bothering to call the cops.
Its absolutely nothing like stealing from a store. It is infact almost exactly like a pizza guy delivering a pizza and not asking for money. He tells you specifically its free. He then calls you later to say it was his mistake and it wasnt supposed to be free, but its ok because the bill has been settled.
No where near theft at all, by any definition of the word.
The correct thing to do would have been to wait and pay for the download, because no one would ever think, oh they must be free! I bought the LE and I don’t really mind if a bunch of people got it for free, just means more players to play against. I can’t believe how upset and demanding some of the LE purchasers are. It’s really not that big of a deal.
Its actually like leaving a 50,000 dollar car left unlocked in a extreme ghetto neighborhood, with a sign that says “This car is free”.
Expect this was $10, not 50,000.
But really, its their fault.
> It’s more like stealing from a store, and the owner not bothering to call the cops.
Yes, guys! Use your heads! The maps were supposed to be sold for $10, but a mistake was made. Now, the owner can’t do anything about because he can’t blame his mistake on the customers.
Instead, it’s up to you guys to decide if it was stealing or not. Now you guys know that the maps were supposed to be sold instead of being free, so you guys took it without any respect whatsoever. The right thing is telling the owner about the problem and buying it! You guys actually made the owner lose money because your greed. It’s still stealing. It’s more about doing the right thing.

But, welcome to 2012 my friend. Where society doesn’t think about “the right thing” and freaks out on the world if they lose 5 dollars. I miss Yoozil and his Waaaaaahhhmbulance

You should ask the owner about it if he left it by an accident otherwise you’re like the theives in the ghettoes. If it was on purpose, you are free to take it.

So you’re gonna stop doing the right thing then?

Cleary you dont know how to read, I said “With a sign that says this car is free” did you miss that part? Did your eyesight give out little guy?
When people went to the download for the Map pack it said “0 Microsoft points for this purchase”. It is THEIR FAULT, its NOT STEALING, it could be considered taking advantage of this situation, at best. Try to understand it, it may take you a while.
It doesnt matter how many times your repeat it, its still not theft or stealing. You can delude yourself all you want, but it still wont make it true.
Where was your moral high ground when EU and other players were shafted by MS on Spec codes? And you expect me to pay for something that was shoved in my face as free? Yeah not going to happen. Free is free. Deal with it.

So you’re not gonna tell the owner that you’re taking the car? What if he objects?

Before I answer that, have you ever illegally downloaded a song before?
The dlc that came with the Limited edition was a single file, containing specializations AND the map pass, along with the other bonuses.
Anyone who downloaded the specialization dlc through the email version, also got the map pack for free.
This means 343 just used the same specialization dlc file as they did for the limited edition, and didn’t realize ‘oh, maybe we should remove the map pass part first’.
They basically gave it away, through their own stupidity.
Have I illeagally downloaded a song? Nope, never! I had some opportunity to download some games, but I didn’t.
If someone has the stupidity to put a sign on their car that says this car is free, then they are an idiot. They deserve to have their car stolen, and survival of the fittest will sift them out of the population eventually.
Why should it rest on my conscious if Microsoft slipped up?
Whens the last time you thought about the hundreds of thousands of underpaid workers that made the shirt on your back, since when is that person not important, but a multi-billion dollar monopoly like microsoft just hit the soft spot in your heart?
(Every day you take advantage of the lesser fortune of others, including underpaid workers, yet you have a major problem with taking advantage of a filthy rich company?)
Your intellect and reasoning skills are horrid
