I don’t like any of the stock maps anymore because they’ve been FILLED with power weapon spawns and vehicle spawns. The timers replenish snipers/lasers/saws/rocket hogs/mantises/rockets/banshees/ghosts/overshield at unbelievable rates. I don’t feel like playing Halo 4 more than ever because of this.
Ragnarok/abandon/meltdown/adrift/haven/longbow/exile/complex/landfall are the maps I remember playing so far and every game has been torture.
Every single Halo game in the past has had very few, very controlled vehicle and weapon spawns but both have been thrown out the window with this update. It feels like there are a dozen vehicles on the map at all times, several power weapons will spawn on the map every minute, on top of ordinance. It’s madness.
On top of that the zoomed LR is so OP. Map maneuverability is at an all time low. Camo is at an all time high. The weapons have been buffed but shields take forever to start recharging and instant respawn is worse than ever thanks to the movement speed increase. I can’t and will not tolerate this crap much longer. This stuff is ruining the game for me.
I want to say thanks for the weapon tuning 343i but what good is that when you ruined every map?
The map redesigns are BS. I didn’t have a problem with any of the maps before and now I don’t want to play any of them.
I was with you until the shields complaints. Just…no. They’re fine. Instant respawn should only be in BTB, imo.
I hasn’t played btb since the update but the playlists I have played (Infinity slayer, Throwdown, Objective and Majestic dlc) all seems to play very well after the update.

Instant respawn shouldn’t be in Halo imo.
I love everything about the TU EXCEPT what they’ve done to BTB with all the vehicles and power weapons. It’s too much.

I’ll agree with this. The massive amounts of power weapons/vehicles and the spawn rates are too much in BTB. I wish they had left the maps alone for BTB just so we could first see how they played with the new weapon tuning update. There was no reason to adjust the BTB maps at this point. 6 power vehicles per map is overkill, especially at the rate in which they respawn. I always thought 4 power vehicles per map with a few power weapon drops worked very well. With the reticle range reduction on the DMR and the increase ROF on the LR, I think BTB would have been much better but we’ll never know unless they remove all the changes they’ve made in power weapons/vehicles.
The smaller maps do play better in my opinion now though. The full auto weapons are not as useful anymore from my experience, which is kind of a shame. You can easily outgun a full auto weapon from close range with the BR or pistol now. There’s no need to run the full auto weapons unless you just want a challenge or the commendations.
I can only speak for the infinity slayer maps but i have to agree. Overshield and power weapons spawn way too frequently. There’s sniper rifles all over adrift now. It’s like they pass them out for participation medals. I didn’t think they needed to change anything. Maybe just the locations of the respawn ordinance on adrift to make people leave the outside bases and avoid camping. But the adding overshield and two snipers every minute or two is too much. I’m not too fond of what they’ve done with abandon either. Or the new map ordinance drops on Haven. Concussion rifle?! And why did they take away the Incin from Slace and add the fuel rod?
I was looking forward to trying out the new weapon tuning against a familiar background. I really dislike this new change to map weapon spawns

I agree OP, except for the LR, I think it’s a great weapon now but not too powerful.
My biggest problems are the power weapon spawns and the movement speed increases. Gameplay feels too fast-paced now. We didn’t need a speed increase while we have sprint as a permanent feature. Sprint makes Halo 4’s gameplay fast enough, not to mention every Loadout weapon is now stronger (most of them) making gameplay fast already.
I haven’t noticed any real change. PP and PG still dominate vehicles and ordnance already gave everyone power weapons, so…
Too many snipers. Snipers everywhere. I played a game on Adrift yesterday and now you can literally have 4 players with a sniper at the same time, not factoring in personal ordnance. And a spartan with a sniper is one spartan less likely to move around on the map, and it messes with the pace of the game.
I was amazed at how many snipers have added to different maps when I read the list of changes. I mean I get it, its one of the coolest weapons in the game, but its rarety makes it that much more fun to use.

Just take it out already. No one will miss it. New players will learn to wait three seconds.
i think it would be better if there was just one sniper that spawns instead of 2 that cannot be descoped. also seriously everyone and their mom can have a sniper at any given time now on adrift or abandon… mostly adrift
I was just disappointed they took scorpions completely out of matchmaking. Replacing the mantis on Shattered would have been a good idea.
