the maps are either too big, way too unsymmetrical, and dark feeling. Also the forge maps suck, i was expecting something similar to sandbox. why can’t the give us a long piece of flat terrain and the ability to customize the time like dawn, dusk, night, day. i want maps built like guardian, pit, avalanche, lockout, and more. the crimson map pack looks like they put no effort into it.

I would love to see a remake of Sandbox. That map had the best Forge pieces ever. It looks like 343 was really lazy with the current Forge maps. Just ripped the pieces out of Reach and slapped some different graphics on them.
Edit: Impact is the only map with interesting new pieces.
They are too big, because they had to stretch them out since Sprint was added. I don’t like it, because there’s not nearly as much close-quarters engagement anymore. In H4 the best strategy is to just sit back and pick people off with a DMR. There’s no reason to go out.
They are too asymmetrical. Even the symmetrical ones. They are not balanced. On BTB Exile, Blue team spawns with a Gauss and Red doesn’t. The argument is that Red spawns closer to the tank. I’m sorry but that is not balanced. I mean, it’s a symmetrical map, just give them both the same thing.
They’re also putting symmetrical gametypes on asymmetrical maps. CTF Abandon and Complex are so obviously imbalanced that it’s just frustrating they’d even consider putting it in MM. And then follow through with it! Who tests that?!
They are kinda dark too. Even the maps that aren’t intentionally dark feel darker, like the lighting isn’t bright enough. That part isn’t so bad, but I do prefer brighter maps.
A map editor like the one from Far Cry would be beyond amazing

if you think the cage had balance then im sorry but you like terrible maps. if your looking for maps that u can kill people by spamming grenades in tight spaces then go back to reach
The maps in this game are all pretty decent as long as you know two play them

The cage at high level play was a camp fest. Not balanced at all. Terrible map

What are you smoking? The cage in general is a terrible map that favors Jetpack over all other AAs. Hell, you are doing it wrong if you don’t use it.
OP, i have no idea why you like Uncaged when Lockout is an arguably better asym map.
Why can’t we have a flat field of terrain, where we can set the theme of sand/snow/grass/etc, and then give us the option to pull up, and shpe the ground to give us our own variation. Then we could finish it off with the structures. It would make every map feel less forged
Complex is quite possibly the worst map I have ever played on any multiplayer, on any game.

At low level jetpack was everywhere in the cage. At high level both teams just camped and watched the other side of the map. Trying to push sides vs a good team was not worth it ever. In the top 10% onyx bracket i had 2 games where both teams finished with single digit kills.
