I’m positive some of y’all know this but I just decided to make a thread about it.
The arena map “Truth” we all know and hate because of the friggin’ energy sword is actually referencing the Covenant vessel “Truth and Reconciliation,” not the Prophet of Truth. I was led to believe it was referencing the prophet because a counter part map, called Regret, shares the exact same layout.
You can see there is a hologram of the Pillar of Autumn on the map. Also when you look out the window you can see the other vessels of the Fleet of Particular Justice above Installation 04.
Could be both. We have three maps called Truth, Regret, and Mercy which could be a big reference to the three prophets.
It’s a reference to the prophet, not the ship. It, as well as Midship and Heretic, is set on the CCS-class battlecruiser, Pious Inquisitor. It actually has quite a presence in the lore, appearing in the third novel in the Kilo-Five trilogy, Mortal Dicata, where it finally saw it’s destruction by Kilo-Five in April 2553 after it was stolen by a Kig-Yar pirate and then sold it to the Insurrection. And while not named, it’s also one of the cruisers that took part in the Battle of Installation 00 under control of the Fleet of Retribution.

This, also the map is just a recreation of the space in War Games for training purposes and as such has been altered from the original vessels actual design.

The reason that Regret shares the exact same layout is because they’re both the same ship, the Undiminished Entelechy. Truth is when its still in operation at the edge of the Soell system. Regret is after it was destroyed and crashed onto Instillation 04.
Ironically enough we now have a map called “Mercy”…
