Hey everybody. One of the new factors in Halo 4 which everyone seems to either love or hate is the Mantis.
At the moment, I believe it’s only on two maps, which are Meltdown and Ragnarok. It’s definitely a game-changer; if the other team loses their Mantis and doesn’t know how to take down an enemy one, they’re basically screwed.
I’m finding it funny to see all of these people in matchmaking running up to the Mantis in order to plant a sticky like for Wraiths, and then watching them die in an onslaught of gunfire as they realize it doesn’t work. Without plasma pistols or another vehicle to fight against it, the Mantis is an incredible vehicle.
Just wondering, does anyone have any cool stories/ gameplays from when they were using the Mantis? I know it’s a fairly new feature, so I’d love to hear some thoughts on it too.
I haven’t used the Mantis very much, but I’ve definitely enjoyed the times when I have.
On a sidenote, I recently uploaded a video on how to utilize the Mantis to its full potential. It’s somewhat basic, so if you’re already a pro with the Mantis, watching it probably won’t help hahaha.
Lastly, do you guys think including the Mantis in a map like Valhalla/Ragnarok was a good idea for Halo 4? I’d love to hear what you think!
