Is it just me or does the mantis look way over powered. It brings down a banshee just like that. On the other hand, the mantis names good teamwork. Your team works to protect the mantis and you win.

It looks like it could be overpowered in the right hands, but so is the Scorpion.
If you watch the gameplays and not just the staged video 343i made, you can see that the Banshee can do pretty good against a Mantis, assuming it has a smart driver.

Looks very mobile and powerful at close/mid range, I bet it’s not very good at long range, most missile-based vehicles aren’t, except for the Scorpion which shoots dead straight even at very long ranges due to it being so powerful.
To destroy the Mantis, 2 laser shots will do it, I’ve seen stickies and PP demolish it enough times, especially now that PP is a secondary weapon, that could actually make the Mantis and some vehicles too easy to destroy.
I have to play to get a more substantiated answer, but right now it looks strong but very much destroyable, I think PP/stickies/rockets are the way to go at close range, splaser and sniper (assuming snipe still damages vehicles) at long range.
Doesn’t look unbalanced to me right now.

ITs not overpowered can get destroy easily
It isn’t though, you think it would be, but it is easily brought down. It is slow turning so the user cannot react to targets behind as quickly as with a Scorpion and it can’t hit two targets that are in different areas at the same time, unlike a Scorpion with a gunner.
It looks to me like you’re gonna die quick if you try and use one. Weak and vulnerable as hell.

Depends who flies it, I die in it horribly, others can fly it without getting a scratch, it’s the pilot/driver that makes the difference in my opinion.
