After going through as many screenshots of this thing that I could get my hands on, I think I’ve figured out most of its features.
Here’s a picture with some of the features I’ve figured out.
Other things to note:
-The Spartan logo has been replaced with the UNSC logo.
-The rocket launcher could possibly have ammo refills throughout the mission.
-The front piece of armor that I talked about in the picture leaves me confused. Since that picture the part on the end has been moved behind it so that the armor covers it. It swivels up and down, but I have no idea why.
As for when we use it, I believe that we use it in the 4th mission, Infinity. All I know for sure is that we use it while on board Infinity to take out boarders, and we use it before Infinity takes off again.

Amen to that. I cannot wait to see this Mantis in action. Looks like a lot of fun!
From what I’ve heard that’s what the magazine said. I haven’t been able to actually translate it myself, but that’s what those who have translated it have said.
Good post, M0a. I am disappointed the Mantis is only playable in campaign/spartan ops, and I have a gut feeling the Mammoth can only be used this way as well.
Does anyone else think the Mantis and Mammoth are not the two new vehicles? Yes, they are new, but they are mission specific like the Sabre. I always assumed the two new vehicles would be two new vehicles added to the multiplayer sandbox. Maybe my expectations are wildly high. Halo 4 has to have something new we can drive in multiplayer, right?

I have to agree about the new vehicles thing. Though I’m skeptical about the credibility of the statement that we would only get 10 weapons and 2 vehicles, if it is in fact true then I doubt the Mammoth and Mantis are those two vehicles. But there’s always the possibility that they are. I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out, a statement that I find myself making all too often nowadays.

Now that I think about it, OXM said that. It’s possible that they just assumed that it was only usable in campaign. Hopefully 343i has something to say about it in the Bulletin.

I think a return of fighters like the Saber are possible. In a live action traile there are fighters of some kind on the infinities deck. There were water craft cut from Reach so yes other vehicles are possible.
I have a question… I read in an article that there was a vehicle called the Cyclops in Halo 4 and if you search it up from Halo Universe it is a Mech and it was said to be in Halo 4 but new news says the Mech is called the Mantis so is there two types of Mechs or has it changed names suddenly?

The Cyclops is the mech that is in the middle of the map named “Adrift”.
