Is this a suggestion that people want The Mangler to do no damage? In that case, we would just have a Disruptor that doesn’t EMP.
Lmao. Definitely an interpretation.
In all seriousness, I’m of the opinion that the spawn times should be adjusted. No real changes to the gun itself. I just find the mangler chatter amusing.
Idk why people are upset about it. The Bulldog is roughly just as good, but with a spread instead of a slug. They’re both shotguns, both 3 shot kill or 1 shot 1 melee. No idea why people care so much about one but not the other.
Yeah and same goes for the heatwave.
I mean basically it is an electric shotgun with ricocheting bullets, and in Vertical mode, it’s a 3 shot kill too. People are complaining over nothing.
Yeah I think fundamentally the gun is fine. Just tweak the weapon tier and move on.
I feel like I need to explain to people how all these weapons work, because clearly people just don’t understand the game
Bulldog - Wide spread shotgun
Mangler - Snub shotgun, single barrel slugs, basically a flare gun but loaded with slugs and attached knives
Heatwave - Linear hard light plasma shotgun with rotating muzzle
Plasma Pistol - Previously an EMP weapon, now just used to drop shields. Charge and pray you hit the target, then swap and headshot for a quick kill
Ravager - Burst Fire Plasma Pistol, but with an AoE. Charge to fire exactly like a Plasma Pistol, but the shot bursts into a flaming puddle. Swap weapons to headshot kill unshielded foe
I’m sure I don’t need to explain every weapon, but these ones I hear the most whining about from people that don’t understand how they work. I guess 343 needs to add weapon descriptions in the weapon tutorials
If you see any threads of these topics, feel free to repost those descriptions, because I get tired of all these duplicate threads
Sadly the duplicate posts will never end.
Incorrect.
Forgot it detonates grenades. I almost never bother going for remote detonation kills. Probably detonates grenades on the pads too, but never tested it. Good way to clear a room where someone already died and dropped their grenades
It doesn’t, it specifically detonates the grenades dropped on death, the ones which have a little glowy tail when it bounces around. It can be shot by precision weapons or detonated by flame puddle.
You should remember this detail though, it REALLY helps with getting Ravager kills if you are ever unlucky enough to get “Kills with Ravager” Challenge.
Steps:
Kamikaze Strat, I like it
Grunt your way into a room full of campers
Up close you can frequently get three shot kills in Horizontal mode too. I’m actually pretty sure all shots don’t need to hit to get a three shot, but I don’t have data to back that up.
Isn’t the heatwave a two shot with the vertical aim (and all shots hit) not three?
That sounds right, because I’m almost positive I’ve missed shots and still got a three shot, but memory is a bit fuzzy, so I don’t wanna say for sure.
Yeah it is two, I just checked a YouTube vid really quick. I just switch it to vertical instantly once I pick it up lol
honestly i want more guns to be balanced, instead of being peashooters. the ravager, needs a buff and maybe rework
plasma pistol needs its emp back
heatwave needs more faster bounces
but i also want more guns, i want the plasma repeater and rifle back. the fuel rod, the needle rifle, concussion rifle, and plasma canon/turret should make a come back. too many weapons got the cutting block and just recolors and weapon tweaks aren’t enough
variety is key to halo
I am a simple woman, I just want the carbine back. I don’t care if it is similar to other weapons. I don’t care if the BR was technically better. It was fun to use, and I loved it. Nothing else feels the same.
I agree with that. But I do think the heatwave is actually fine right now. It’s just a tracking adjustment for the player, and the fact that the projectiles also bounce make it pretty forgiving. It’s particularly strong in tight spaces (tunnels in livefire). I didn’t like the heatwave at first, but once you get used to it it’s pretty viable and balanced well.
Out of all of the weapons you listed I do really want to see the fuel rod come back.
