The majority is behind you 343i

I honestly feel bad for 343i… you know why…

They make a great game, and all they get to hear the vocal Yoink!-ing minority Yoink!ing about every little detail that doesn’t exactly suit their fancy. It’s time for the forum community to wake up and realize that they are NOT the majority.

4+ million people play Halo 4, only a fraction of them are actually registered on Halo waypoint, out of them only about 1000 punks take time out of their day to come on here and whine, and think they represent the majority of the 4+ million halo players out there. Sorry guys you are .00025 % in all actuality not the majority. The only reason these people (and I’m not saying all forumers fall in this category) think they are the majority is because everyone else is too busy ENJOYING THE GAME to come on here and Yoink!

Yeah… ya heard me… ENJOYING THE GAME

Ranking System= if it’s too easy get off the dewxp, if it’s still too easy… I say good, learn to enjoy the game, make it more about how many wins you can stack up and your kd or even better WHO you can beat… if everyone is SR130, who cares, I think thats kind of the point, to have an unlock based ranking system instead of the good old internet gonad waving. Learn to have fun and compete without needing a freaking cookie, SR130 is perfect as a max rank. For those of you not satisfied hold on to your tights and use CSR

Weapon Balance= Maybe not the best, but it’s defiantly playable. Don’t like the DMR, get used to it, it was designed to be the skill weapon of choice in this game. The BR was just to sate nostalgics.

Campaign, Playlists, and Maps= Lets get real guys, you couldn’t do better. This isn’t bad, Halo has had worse and this is fairly impressive especially for 343i’s first attempt.

*The only thing that I agree should be patched in join in progress

But all in all, It is my hope that 343i DOES NOT listen to the vocal minority. The majority of your players are happy. Don’t make any drastic changes to appease a bunch of haters that will ruin the game for your true fans.

You have done a great job 343, and I will stand behind you just a solidly as I stood behind Bungie (if not more), so long as you do not give in to the vocal minority. (Give them CSR (I would like to get another 50 too =)) but don’t change the SR system (unless you just want to add like 1 or 2 new specializations from time to time, nothing nuts, like upping it to obscene heights like Reach) and just keep the bug fixes, server fixes, map packs, spartan ops, and playlists rolling.

You are doing just fine. Don’t listen to the haters. In the end, the true halo fans will never “go buy Black Ops and quit Halo”. Your true fans (the majority) won’t leave you. (unless you cater to the haters)

before you try to call me a content casual, I am an owner of multiple 50’s on H3, and been playing since the advent of halo, It is not my intention to flame or argue with anyone, simply to show 343 the other more grateful (and larger) side of the coin. As I have no intention of arguing, you won’t see me post on this thread again, although you will see others like it

Flame Away… (And 343 know the truth)

Who the hell do you think you are to claim to speak for the majority? Why don’t we start with that. Also, where did you get that 4 million people play Halo 4? That isn’t true. 4 million people BOUGHT Halo 4, that does NOT mean 4 million people are playing it. I haven’t seen more than 200k people online at once for at least a week. The average tends to be 165k, which is abysmal for a game that was JUST released.

Also, nobody gives a damn about your multiple 50s, that means NOTHING.

you really have no solid evidence to support your claim that the majority is 100% happy with the game in general. There are things wrong with the game, there isnt anything wrong with being displeased with something and voicing your opinion in calm criticism, but your no better saying all this and claiming that everyone is just oh so happy and content.

Shamelessly throwing out the fact that you have “so many” 50’s and that youve played since halo was conceived in bungies mind just makes you look even more dumb.

> I make up statistics to make my opinion more factual

I politely disagree with everything you said. My source.

Halo 4 Review

https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst147171_Halo-4-Multiplayer-Review--REPOST.aspx

They did mess up Custom Games… badly.

I really like H4 but the greatest thing about Halo is the infinite replayability due to Custom Games, and for the sake of the game’s longetivity I really hope they fix the options for Custom Games.

My major gripe right now is the inability to change the zombies’ weapons. I loved all the fun Infection games people made up, like Fat Kid and the Halo ring (where the zombie snipes).

Lolwut kid, who makes you think you speak for the majority? And how many people play now (which i think is laughable that you believe is 4m) pretty much means nothing because people who played a lot of halo games are more likely to notice frustrating flaws earlier. Come back to me in 10 months and we’ll see how many people want the game the way it is now.

Yeah seriously. I didn’t elect this guy to speak for me

You sir, deserve a medal. I love Halo for and may I damn say 343i made a better game than Bungie ever did (note I played Halo CE when it came out and every game since). They have changed things but if they didn’t people would -Yoink- about it not changing. Can’t please everyone. I can’t wait for Halo 5!

uhhhhhhhh, pretty sure OP is one of the most unintelligent people I’ve ever seen. he does realize that many disgruntled gamers don’t come onto the forums because they don’t want to deal with the fanboys… yes? I’m a several 50 owner too buuuuuuuttt I am displeased with may aspects of this game. I also think it shows something bad about OP’s character and his argument when he knows he has no chance of defending his claim so he upright and leaves the post.

So it sounds like Halo 4 was your first Halo, and you think you’re the majority. Cool.

And btw, 4 million people do not play the game each day. Only about 100,000 play each day and that number is declining. Open your eyes buddy. 343i did a terrible job on H4.

Agreed OP.

-Yoink- the haters. H4 is awesome. Not perfect, but awesome.

People -Yoinked!- about H2, they -Yoinked!- about H3, and they -Yoinked!- about Reach. This is no different.

Why do you think that purchases = playing?

You can cite whatever numbers you like that they sold but you have to THINK.

Wanna talk numbers?

I know of 8 copies sold, save for maybe 2, NONE of them liked the game. Don’t you think that’s an abysmal rate?

It would be one thing if they all didn’t LOVE it, but they all say that they HATE the game. None of them signed up for the forums as far as I know of btw. Well… except for me…

These are merely effects of their own decisions. Good or bad they have to deal with them. I don’t feel sorry for them, they made their choice. They already made a ton of money. I feels sorry for the fans who were severely let down.

But don’t you think they need to know the truth? You know… for the future good of the Halo property??

Wow… all this "yoink"ing… I’m utterly shocked at the lack of understanding among these rabid defenders! /sarcasm

Sigh.

This game has features still not enabled a month into release… Halo 2 had severe game breaking glitches its first month out as well, the same with 3 and Reach. If people do not complain they never get fixed or addressed. I agree with people who troll to troll, but many well thought out threads have been created detailing the faults with this game.

I’m just tired of all the people -Yoinking!- about the game but making zero suggestions to fix what’s wrong. The most people say is “join in progress is dumb and doesn’t work”, “boltshot is OP”, “DMR is OP”, yet they make no attempt to create a way to make it balanced or work.

Game came out like 3 weeks ago and you “can’t wait” until Halo 5 comes out because Halo 4 is so good??

Can’t tell if you’re joking.

There is a difference between a good critical opinion and a ranting hater.

For instance here is something;
“Bodies have longer despawn times than weapons”

That isn’t a rant, that’s just how the game behaves. It’s a problem because bodies aren’t important and weapons on maps are, and at current the 12 second despawn time on weapons means that games (in particular BTB) are frustrating to a lot of players.

That pretty much sums it up.
OP, 343i’s lapdog, just got proven wrong.
THC represents the Halo fans.

The one thing I’m noticing is that 343 is trying a hell of a lot harder then Bungie did, maybe to hard. I feel like they knew they had to change a lot of things that Bungie had -Yoinked!- up over the years, and for the most part they did. But things like instant respawn, the new scoping system, 15m added to the radar, and everyone and their mother have 2 power weapons at any time were not really needed.

I think 343 will learn there lesson with Halo 4, and there will be a beta for Halo 5. That way a lot of the stuff that slipped through the cracks get fixed. Because you don’t know what the community is going to do with a game, until they get the game. I bet if there was a beta for Halo 4, a lot of these things wouldn’t of even been included in the game, because no one wants them.

Lol,wut? No that would be the average number on at any one time and actually it’s a little more than that, but the number of unique players is well over a million if not 2. Or do you think the same 100,000 players play all the time. 343i said over 4 million player played the first week, that’s where the OP got that number.
