The dead end areas with 1 way in.
Why do they exist?
It’s on most (if not all) maps.
They aren’t fun, makes survivors basically guarantied to win.
It’s just frustrating.
It feels like cheating when you do it.
It feels irritating when its being done to you.
Why are they a thing?

I know, right? RIPTide, Crypt, and Power Station are the biggest offenders.
It is so annoying, especially when people attack them only one at a time.
I like it. There aren’t many actually. Not that I’ve seen. As a human, I like a safe spot. Remember. One zombie might not be able to pull it off, but a whole group can. Just like that elevator shaft on Swordbase.
This has been an issue with every halo ever. Players will find ways to exploit it. Its best to just find these issues and bringing them up to waypoint mods or 343i directly
They could fix this by adding sprint for zombies though. Then the AR’s won’t be very effective.

Yeah, but I think the presence of ARs, SAWs, Snipers, and all manner of weapons tips the scales way too far in the favor of humans.
If you keep pressure on those areas the survivors will run out of ammo.
As for the last survivor, all it takes is several infected to one at him at once.

I hate how 6 AR bullets (or whatever it is) shreds through and instantly kills a zombie, powerful sure…THAT powerful? Im good thanks.
Of all the games I’ve played, spartans have only survived in a handful of rounds. Personally I don’t think surviving is very easy when you’ve only got 1 shotgun round and alpha zombies who can creep up on you from behind without showing on your radar thanks to them having camo, but having said that I’ve not tried using any power weapons.

uhh these arent exploits. by using a hallway that was designed for a safe haven for survivors by the map creator. also humans from the games ive seen and played only survive maybe 10% of the time.

What are you talking about? Crypt is the most open and there are at least two ways to every spot.

Just charge them all at once you’ll pull it off.(says a person who got destroyed by 6 zombies who charged all at once)

Literally this. Hold-Out locations are meant to be difficult for Zombies to get into alone. The whole point is for the humans to be slowly overwhelmed by the numbers of zombies coming at them.
I can’t attest to these maps in particular since I haven’t hoped on yet, but in theory everything is fine. And from the gameplay I saw of Crypt and knowing WyvernZu, I would bet that map is fine.

I dont think you know what exploits are. People use t hunker down in a certain hall on sword base all the time.

What happens when everyone is in a hold out location? What are the zombies supposed to do then? Also I hate the fact that these holdout spots are so blatantly obvious and really make irks me that some of these maps are DESIGNED with several locations that only have one way in.
Has anybody here talked about what happened in Sword Base on Reach? Everyone just sat in the vent, one way in (Yes, pretty much every single game, anybody caught running around was killed pretty quick).

Yes this, especially since the ARs can kill a zombie in a couple of bullets, even at longer range, without any precise aiming needed like a pistol headshot in Reach. Not to mention the zombies move quite slow.

Sword Base is an awful map, so there’s that.
Hmm… Sounds like that room in sword base with the lift… Or that ledge on the top floor that you could get to by sprinting into the man canon… Or that room by the red lift… Hmm… It’s almost like… This has been in Halo for awhile, I just don’t understand why that is though. I mean, it’s not like you could jump off the edge in Halo 3 to avoid being infected, or duck under a building on The Cage, in Reach. Then again, there was also that big window on The Cage that you could get up on. Huh… weird.
