My main reason is because of bumper jumper control setup. It’s extremely useful in halo 1-3, but in 4 I have a hard time using A as sprint. Another thing is to not forget that the feedback program is right next to forums and you can easily access it. 343 is going to start laying out plans for H6 soon, so get your opinions and ideas out there.
Good post! There’s still some time before the game comes out hopefully they can give us some updated control scheme that makes it easier for you, and others who have this problem.
Fully agree about the importance of feedback, but that is the weakest anti-sprint argument I’ve heard yet.
Not really, he provides a reason as to why he doesn’t like it. The control scheme he likes doesn’t allow him to use it in a way he would like.
I use Bumper Jumper and sprint just fine. What button would you want it mapped to? You didn’t really offer an alternative.
I think the best option would be to allow players to customize the buttons how they see fit. Offer a few templates to go by, but, ultimately let the player decide what he or she feels best.

This.
And sprint shouldn’t be a button period.

if sprint was the left stick and crouch was A
Interesting. That would trip me up so bad. Been sprinting with A since reach.
Actually I love to sprint with A in h4 and h5.

Believe it or not, control schemes can be deal-breakers. Can you imagine the transition from Halo 5 to the MCC? Switching between games without a universal control scheme can be very confusing.
I just use recon. Sprint on X just feels right.
that is a sad reason. you think halo is defined by the controller and you want to design the game based around your specific controller config…
as a pc gamer that is so sad to read…
i also hate sprint
I use X to Sprint on Recon. Not as bad as A, but not ideal. However, I’m used to it, and I can accept it if it means Thruster Pack is LB.
it was meant jokingly, as in the only reason I dislike sprint is the controller configuration it causes, not some big list of it braking the game or something like that. It’s the ONLY reason I don’t like sprint.
