Maybe its because H2 and H3 were my games so i dont have that magnum nostalgia, but ive been watching streams trying to stay interested in the game and i just cant. Magnum starts bore me to tears. & no im not getting the game at launch. May get it eventually if they change some things.
I candidly disagree, the pistol is fun and tricky too.

Compared to the Halo 3 magnum, anything looks great

I like the idea of magnum starts, for one it is a nice change from OMG BR ONLY WE NEED BR EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT POWER WEAPONS IS EVIL!!!
I personally would rather the AR magnum starts so people have to hunt the map for weapons a bit more and also because H5 magnum is actually good again.

And the magnum is a great weapon in Halo 5. I’m not sure what you’re talking about there.

The magnum shouldn’t be whether you get the game or not because it doesn’t seem to make sense just of that reason alone, though opinions are for everyone. Give it chance and maybe it might change your thoughts.

Not my only reason for not buying, just one of them. Unfortunately the beta convinced me that this might not be the game for me.
I’m still trying to convince myself the magnum is ok, but REALLY why not have the BR as primary weapon for Arena?

I think the magnum is the best secondary weapon halo has ever had. Just cant figure out why they made it THE primary

First off that would break weapon balance, a puny pistol would defeat the purpose of a br, dmr, carbine, light rifle etc. There would be no point in getting a power weapon if I have a high rate of fire three shot pistol.
I don’t see what the issue here is. It feels like a BR, just has a little less ammo. Best part is that, like all the other weapons, its perfectly balanced within the weapons sandbox.

Promotes map movement to acquire the all time favorite BR. It’s AR/Magnum starts. Sorry you don’t like the magnum as much as the BR but that’s how it is
I love the Magnum starts, but I wish it was SMG instead of AR. But I ain’t complainin’
