Hijacking seems to be way to users friendly in H4. There have been plenty of times where I should have been splattered, but inside just pressed X and stole what ever vehicle that should have killed me. Same thing when I am operating the vehicle, an enemy Spartan seems to be able to hijack your vehicle from across the map.
Yeah i think the distance for the prompt has increased. Lag doesn’t help either lol It’s still a feat to jack a Mantis though, only done it once myself.
Mantis jacking aint that hard, you just need to be at the rear of it. In general I find hijacking to be a bit awkward. There are many times I have had the prompt, press for it and nothing happens. Other times its on screen and you go for it and instead get splattered by a ghost moving at 1mph sideways.
Ive never bothered to 'jack a 'hog though. I just blow them up instead, its a better option imo.
Mantis jacking: active camo is your friend. You don’t even need a plasma pistol if you position yourself right.
Mantises are horribly vulnerable really, personally I can’t see they have much use beyond base defence, or perhaps supporting a push with LOTS of ground support.
Almost everything is too easy in this game, hijacking included.
On the other hand, however, it’s too easy to kill people one-on-one in a Ghost, for example, so at least hijacking is balanced in that regard.
This applies to enemy AI as well. Elites can hijack from a longer distance.
