The looks of the Flood on Halo 3

Greetings, everyone…Since we all played Halo 3 we obviously played against many Flood enemies in the ruins of New Mombasa, the Ark and High Charity. The question is of all the three species that were infected by the Flood in the first trilogy…which of them you think had the most grotesque appereance? The Humans? The Elites? Or the Brutes?
I believe for me the Brutes’ infected look is the most grotesque since they have their Flood antennas comin from their mouth. -_-;

Nope, the humans were by far the most disgusting and horrific. Bungie seemed to make it a point to have the distorted and constantly in pain face very pronounced when fighting them. The sense of familiarity of seeing another human being in that terrible state made my blood curdle the first time I saw it in '07. Plus, the frail frame (in comparison to the elites and brutes) bent backwards/to the left, with the clawed hand extending out gives them a look of a true abomination, which to me, highlights further the fate that that human unfortunately experienced.

Have to agree, the human flood forms looked more terrifying for sure.

Humans for sure, mostly for the listed reasons. Brutes i’d say come a close second.

The elite ones I find are barely recognizable as elites since the head hangs back. I think it actually took me a while back when I first played CE to realize what they were.

I think the Human flood forms look the best/scariest. The disfigured head, the crooked body, it’s all so creepy. Look at this picture of a Human Combat Form. It’s pretty gruesome.

Definitey the human Combat Forms, although I do have to say that it’s unsettling as -Yoink- to see how the Sangheili Combat Form’s head sometimes waves around when it charges at you.

The broken elite necks always freaked me out but the humans are more relatable. I’m going with a tie between the two.

I’d have to say the sangheili, simply because their head was hanging on their back.

Yeah, but the humans have the same kind of dislocated head.

They do, but I find an infected monster/threat scarier than an infected peer. Their head being on the wrong side and hanging all the way to their wast region (at least in some Halo games, not positive in Halo 3) adds to that.

Oh, you guys think that Halo 3’s Flood were grotesque?

That’s cute.

No, really.
