343i look to reboot & re-market the hugely successful Halo series for the mature old school fans of the franchise with TMCC, but fail miserable. After a few failed update attempts they pretty much decide to completely abandon the project.
343i pretty much give up on even trying to please the old school fans of the franchise in even the smallest of ways in favour of reinventing Halo & taking the next step from Halo 4 away from what made the original Halo CE, (2) & (3) great by appealing to a younger audience known as ‘squeakers’ that willingly spend all their weekly allowance on req packs because kids are so impatient & don’t give a tosh as to how money is earned.
343i release a bare bones Halo 5 with even the most basic of customization hidden behind req pack microtransaction pay walls (earning them millions of dollars per month), & the most basic of content hidden behind proposed future free updates.
343i & Microsoft state that Halo 5 is the most profitable Halo release in the entire series, (probably due to the various additions of the game available at release & of course, the req pack microtransactions).
Most of the remaining competitive, mature old school Halo fans that believed in 343i (even after the train wreck that was TMCC), give up on Halo 5 meaning the game lobby is basically a squeakers paradise.
343i introduce a strict unbalanced ban hammer system that further alienates sections of Halo players.
343i cut back on server options basically meaning Halo 5 multiplayer is hugely unbalanced & North American squeakers in a 1 on 1 situation will beat anyone else anywhere else in the world, everytime, meaning players anywhere else in the world other than North America think…"-Yoink- this".
343i jip Halo fans & squeakers alike into thinking that all of the above is done with the utmost of love, attention & respect. Which, of course most squeakers & some sections of older gamers believe & ramp up the purchases of req packs in full belief that even 343i employees need to book holidays, & of course they have families that must be fed. The future…
343i read, but decide to ignore all of the above, book their luxury summertime holidays & get started on their next squeaker targeted projects…‘Halo Wars 2 & Halo 6’.
I just feel sorry for the fans, even those that don’t agree with my comments & point of view. They pay fair money & have a company (money & profit driven) like 343i & MS taking it, completely aware that the product they are selling is low on content, boring & completely unfair. These companies have a relentless pursuit & thirst for profit.
It won’t be from me, but I hope that some how these companies either cut this -Yoink- out or gamers start waking up & taking the same stance as me, because the more they don’t the worse it gets. The more consumers put up with this in the belief they’re getting love, the more shady & aggressive the tactics from these companies will become…

Like is said bro, I feel sorry for you, because they are taking your money for next to nothing…2 minute studio software varieties are making them millions per month at your expense…I congratulate you…

I laugh when people say if you don’t like halo, leave. We love halo, which is why we don’t like seeing 343 not taking the proper steps to ensure that there is a halo in the future that still has a population. Halo MCC took WAY too long to fix, by the time it finally got fixed, most people were gone. Halo 5 still is lacking game modes that are staples for the halo franchise, and has 1 new arena map since launch. There are issues here, and pointing them out doesn’t mean we don’t like halo, it means we like halo enough to want to see it continue to evolve, not devolve.

That’s true jp, but his reply was to give me MS phone number…There’s just no reasoning with some people…I call them dead heads. They are exactly the problem & the sole reason companies like 343i & MS have these kinds of strategies…I liken people like Bio to people in Africa that won’t quit having unprotected -Yoink!-, coz if they did they would quit spreading -Yoink!-, but they just won’t, & no matter what you say to them they will just carry on…

They may not want to have both, but they are doing a good job at doing both, they are making a ton of money of reqs, but at the same time people are leaving the game because there isn’t enough content.
