The locations, Biomes and battles from Harvest, Arcadia and Etran Harborage from Halo Wars would be a great mainline Halo Infinite "flashback" game featuring Squad commands and Battlefield scale maps

Features:

  • Battlefield sized maps, large scale combat, lots of vehicles, class/squad based gameplay with Inventory
  • Tech trees and upgrades for weapons, vehicles and equipables
  • Return of using Healthkits/Health meters
  • Gameplay inspired by Arma: Halo mod, Quake Wars, Quake/Doom, Planetside, Halo wars/Novels/Halo 5 Warzone, Star Wars Battlefront
  • RPG mechanics
  • Playable primarily from 3rd person perspective
  • Maps with dynamic wind, rain, storms, Sentinel Swarms, Large scale flood encounter
  • Dynamic objectives in multiplayer and lots of map interaction ( cartographer, power station, lightbridges, etc )
  • Old School and prototype Halo Armors
  • Side campaign missions and DLC featuring Iconic missions like Chief destroying half the Covenant Invasion force at the Unyielding Hierophant

I agree mostly but I disagree about the 3rd person perspective since I would prefer 1st person.

So in order to enhance melee combat, movement and awareness of larger environments via a wider angle 3rd person camera, the game should be primarily in third person perspective, but with the option to switch to first person perspective for gunplay just like:

– Metal Gear Solid
– Star wars Battlefront
– Arma Series
– PubG
– Ghost Recon:Wildlands

Having primary third person perspective with option for original Spartan perspective opens up a lot 9f gameplay opportunities, esp with sword, jet[ack, low gravity, grappling, and other new movement and equipment mechanics, esp with a vehicle-centric combat focus over large landscapes

Third Person perspective for large environments also allows the landscapes to look better from long distances

Halo Infinite flasback?

Sorry, but we need a Halo Infinite game first!

343 should collab with the Gears of War Team, Halo Wars devs and maybe Activision to build the game:

and why ?

  1. Gears team makes great third person perspective games
  2. Halo Wars devs have awesome concept art, rts experience, etc
  3. Activision has studio horsepower, personnel, experience with large scale modes and can use zombies teams to help craft a zombies inspired flood mode
4, Multiple teams would allow 343 to focus on main Saga

I meant Flashback Campaign to previous events since apparently β€œInfinite” is supposed to be the banner under which future games have campaigns ( I think )

I get it.

They just need to make this a complete game first before worrying about anything else.
