The little things we would like

So, as we all know, most threads here want all these big changes and stuff to alter the next halo and make it better. Well, this thread is for the little things we’d like to see.
For example:

[/li]- If there is going to be any flood, a bit more varitaion in the combat forms would be nice- it’s really weird to see a brute chieftain turn into a minor combat form when infected.

  • It would be cool if we could lower weapons online somehow
  • Perhaps even add interactable terminals? So, pressing one button would show you an event, you can switch back and forth between multiple views, etc.

These are just some examples. What do you think?

I always thought that it would be cool to place collectibles or other interactable objects throughout matchmaking. Interacting with this things should give you a credit boost and should give you more knowledge about the game. Good thinking!

Heh, thanks. I was also thinking- wouldn’t it be cool if the odd elite/brute had something like a scar on their face or be missing a finger or such? That’d be neat.

Bring the Halo 3 scenery back. I’m taking all the crates, traffic cones, chairs, tables, cardboard boxes, barrels, pallets, floodlights, welding clamps, generators, food cans, bacon cans, water barrels, medical carts, and so on. It’s much better to have all of that then a bunch of giant, empty, lifeless rooms in the campaign and MP.

Also, we need fusion coils to be on almost every map again. Halo 4’s maps had none, and I can’t recall any in Reach’s maps either.

Doesn’t even have to be fusion coils, just as long as there is a piece of manipulative explosive scenery on the map, it will play better.

As for other small changes, I’m definitely in the mood to see a little more gore or at least bullet holes in bodies or puncture marks from a sword or hammer left on a body after death.

Or maybe even have blood splatters on the weapons themselves.

As far as I know, Skyline and Landfall have them, but there is a reason on why Fusion Coils aren’t in the other maps… Go onto a pre-Majestic map and see how ridiculously strong they are.

Also, plenty of maps had both Fusion Coils and Propane tanks in Reach. Countdown had them in at least every other corner and Boardwalk had several.

Absolutely not. With my luck, my entire team would be out hunting for skulls and reading terminal info while Im trying to get the flag.

Don’t they also take more damage to set them off than in Halo 3? It’s been a while since I checked anything in Halo Reach/4.

Two shots with a Magnum will set them off in Halo 4 as will a single melee. A single fusion coil explosion will kill the player and has a blast radius that is several times the size of that of a Rocket Launcher.

After the Majestic Map Pack, 343i nerfed them… heavily.

Well, they’re supposed to be able to kill you, but having that big a radius is really crazy. How low is the radius now?

The radius now is half of what it was, and the fusion coils will make a splashing sound when destroyed and release liquid plasma rather than fire. The player will also disintegrate from the explosion instead of flying halfway across the map.

Disintegrate? That’s not nearly as fun as launching bodies along with traffic cones across the map. Eh, doesn’t sound too bad for Halo 4.

Bring back Campaign scoring and hidden skulls again.

Is that small enough?

Oh no, I meant as in SP.

I want that feature from Halo CE where you could see the health of everyone in your vehicle. Of course, since Regen Health is the norm, it’d probably have to be shields.

I’d like the grunts to have funny voices and dialogue again.

Just a little thing, but I think they should change the animation of the auto-turret deployment. This Dragonball thing we got going on is sorta weird.

I always thought it’d be cool if, upon deployment, your Spartan would kneel down, lean forward, and allow a bunch of components to assemble into the air from off his back. Sorta like how the Knights spawn Watchers.

> I’d like the grunts to have funny voices and dialogue again.

I’d back this if it was exclusive to the IWHBYD skull. The talking Grunts always ruined any semblance of seriousness when they show up, and the whole “wacky high-pitched squealing idiot” thing isn’t funny now that I’m not 15…

Really? I always liked them, and they will always be something I’ll find funny. I mean, they say some funny stuff, and I like that lil’ twist they bring.

I get that. I just found it hard to get into “Earth’s population has been massacred by aliens and a ship filled with the Zombie plague is about to infect the planet” when a little frog man is waddling around squealing “Waaah, he going to kill us!!” the next second.
