You know what, I’m gonna give the game a shot again. Those devs deserve it.
You complaining about it won’t maker the problem go away. The criticisms are just, and no amount of damage control will stop it. If a structure was on fire, and you plugged your ears about it, it would not put the fire out.

What’s truly embarrassing is the fact that 343 thought they could make quick cash off of older skins from previous halo games. If they had brand new content to offer that had a price tag, sure go for it. BUT previous skins?? Are you serious?? Don’t get me wrong, halo Infinite has a lot of ups, but 343 always has some “great ideas” that always end up being pay more and they back track, apologize, and do what they should have in the first place. I’d rather have this game come out completely finished in 2022 and pay 60 dollars as every new game usually is than this free to play dumpster fire of a multiplayer launch.

You must not know how much of a budget that is. GTA 5 has 100x more depth and playability and the budget for that was around 270 million. No excuse man,

Hey now while the ar has a quicker ttk for sure due to its tighter spread. The rest of the guns aside from the craptastic bulldog and the pulse rifle or whatever it is are pretty much the same as they always have been the br being a staple at 3-4 shots with the final being a dome tap. The pistol has probably undergone the most change. And the needler feels a little slow in comparison to old games. Wouldnt say it appeals to noobs as much as fans of the game because let’s face it the ar was really the only gun that needed a tighter spread for the future ar that it is oh and probably the most heinous crime taking away the plasma pistols EMP ability
500 million is a finite number, which is not what unlimited means. Yes 500 mill is a lot of money and a lot of things can come out of it.
According to a glassdoor search devs at 343 make between 81,000 and 115,000 per year. Add on top of that insurance, taxes, etc what 343 pays on each employees salary (Not entirely sure what employers in US would pay on top of that, but in my experience its been around 10 to 15K on top of yearly salary). According to linked in there are currently 169 Engineers and 252 working in Arts and Design. For rough numbers and not getting too deep into it there are 200 employees that get paid 100K plus 10k for taxes, insurance, etc over 6 years they would have spent 132 million on wages alone. More than a 5th of the budget gone.
I understand how big 500 million is in gaming budgets, I also understand there are astronomical costs that typically go unnoticed in the gaming community. There are things 343 did right, and there are things they did wrong. The core gameplay they nailed IMO, the monetization not so great. I don’t mind BPs costing $15 CAD as long as they have solid content (my expectations are now set as season 1 being the bare minimum of content that we get in a BP) The store prices are bad, but people don’t have to buy anything from there, the longer 343 doesn’t make expected revenue off the store the more likely they are to change the prices.
All in all, this is a great game with some work that still needs to be done.
