so I for some reason decided to go back and read up on the legendary chips Dubbo one of the only marines or characters in American science fiction entirely that I full and whole heartedly care for (alongside Johnson and um yeah that’s it, I kid) anyway now that he has a total of four achievements all related to him does that make him canon? because of the three canonically ambiguous characters which were Master Sergeant Marcus P Stacker, Sergeant Major Avery Johnson and Private First Class Chips Dubbo, Johnson was made canon in halo first strike and Stacker was canonised in halo 4 (his name is written in the subtitles) so what is happening with chips? the man the myth the legend? from the middle of nowhere Australia who only stayed because the UNSC thought that a place with no internet was a good idea, then realised that there was no internet and gave it internet.
I think he’s always been Canon. I don’t see why not? But with this achievement it must mean he really is canon, Which is awesome
um he was originally made non-canon because he was suppose to just be another random marine, the fact that he can die then just randomly turn back up alive later on also because he has only been in the game files previously
I always thought he was canon, but if he wasn’t, those achievements now make him canon must likely
I’m glad to see he’s now considered as canon. Him and Johnson had amazing chemistry in the first two games. They can’t bring back Johnson, guess the closest thing left now is Chips.
Hopefully we see him featured in future Halos. Just please, please don’t make him a Spartan.
I missed him in halo 4. Well, I don’t care as much about him as I do about Stacker, since he teamed up with the Master Chief since Halo 1 till halo 4. Also, he was canonised in halo 3 already
To sum it up as an Australian myself, Australians are like Nokia phones were virtually indestructible and no matter what keep on showing up when we least expect it. That is why Chips Dubbo always remains
