The last thing forge needs.

AI, That’s all we need. 343 Have already added in a amazing scripting system, we have more than enough blocks, plenty of fun glitches like the combining weapons glitch and vehicle welding, the only thing we need to make forge perfect is ai. Even if they just added in automatic turrets or stationary gaurds then it would allow forgers to make better maps. For example, if they allowed us to use AI then we could make all kinds of things, bases that are defended or assaulted by ai, levels, or just add in a third faction in maps. Halo 5 will probably have a decent lifespan because of what 343 has done so far and if they added ai, it would probably last until the next halo game

There’s a lot more stuff Forge needs than just AI here are a few examples:

  • placable water (safe)

  • placable lava (kill)

  • Mission objectives (for custom campaign missions)

  • Weapon Welding

  • Fog editing works on ALL maps and not just the canvases

  • Scripting tutorials (for XBOX version)

  • Water physics for underwater levels

  • A way for the game to tell you if something isn’t going to work properly in custom games, like oddball, CTF, assault, ect…

I’d also add

  • Facade trees and buildings (basically low detail, non-animated pieces for set backdrops without taking up too much performance.) - Light settings so a few lights can cast dynamic players shadows within a certain area like on Developer maps (think a light that hangs from the ceiling that when under it, you cast a full body shadow within a certain radius of it that you can see in first person.) - Baked Light animation (right now, effects like flickering only work on dynamic lights in custom games. In forge, baked light animations work, but not in custom games.) - Some more texture options (like cobblestone, a greatly enlarged stone texture [think a big castle wall]) and at least a moss overlay as well.I’d also mostly love to see Water and Lava volumes.
