So Guys, I realize that many here still play the Xbox 360 halos and wanted them to keep the servers turned on, I understand it’s great that most wanted to be in the MCC or went to the MCC which is amazing in terms of evolution to the old Halos !

My idea is not to try to change their minds about the Servers, but to give the opportunity to Guys who still want to play and spend their last moments in the X360 Halos, to be able to do this, such as completing achievements, the history and the latest Co- op with their friends, so I developed together with friends and Halo fan pages, a tag, but I don’t want them to float around, but to share the idea and try to fulfill this last request before the master chief blows up the rings

Idea: Consists of giving the x360 Halos games to games with gold, as are 6 main Halo games: CEA, Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Halo 3 and 3 ODST and 4, it would be great that in these last 6 months they gave these games to Halo Fans and Future Fans (I’m already talking about this), as a way to please the fans and say thank you to everyone who participated in this great franchise, playing games, bringing servers to life, and supporting new players and tips for the future. halo of how they wanted them to be, (we did this with Halo Infinite)

Looking from the 343 or Marketing side: That would be great
Because yes, it’s good that everyone goes to the MCC, but as there’s an upcoming Infinite release and better MCC updates every season, it would be very beneficial to do this with a Thanks to the Halo or Halo Nation community, for all they’ve done. on Xbox 360 for Halo (Machinimas, Gameplays, memes and etc), and looking to the company side, it would be looked on with good eyes making one last ‘Thank you’ giving the Games at Games With Gold and giving the opportunity to everyone who loves this one franchise have the possibility to complete the games and their challenges before it is no longer possible, Still opening doors for new players who still only have the Xbox 360, knowing the franchise and enjoying even for a little while all the experience and fun that these games provide, and giving that taste of “I want more”, making them go to MCC after closing the servers!
The community and media would definitely welcome this act of one last thank you to everyone who is still on Xbox 360 and has been there long ago!

I like the idea but 343 won’t change thair mind if we all banded together in a custom games club i could see it living longer but naturally the old games will live on since you can still play og xbox halo 2 online through x link kai

The issue here is that Games with Gold is no longer an important marketing thing for MS. Game Pass has very much replaced it and all the games are available on Game Pass. If anything MS is trying to covert Gold subscribers to Game Pass and normal Game Pass subscribers to Ultimate.

Additionally on the servers front the issues also come down to staff resources, power consumption and data centre upgrades. I work at a Supercomputing Centre so this is familiar territory. When you upgrade your tech you either need to build new facilities to house it or clear out the older systems. Older systems are usually less power efficient and will often require bespoke maintenance arrangements. You eventually reach a point where it’s just not viable anymore to keep the older systems running

I think only the pvp servers will be closed, I think you will still be able to play co-op, but I’m not sure about that.
