well, you all hated them so. now you want them?
make up your guys minds.
i don’t want to see any of you complaining about the floods when they come back.
so in reality. if there is none, too bad.

Could be that the fanbase isn’t a monolith that all thinks the same thing.
I mean presumably Cortana has been throwing Prometheans at smaller threats all over, and their numbers are limited (could even be dwindling). Couldn’t it just be that they are not around zeta halo? No continuity issues whatsoever. Every enemy can’t be everywhere always, that’s more of an issue IMO. Including something just because.
I never wanna see another Promethean in this series again. No thank you. The Banished are INFINITELY better enemies.
Halo’s story isn’t going to be taken seriously if they just write off every major plot point because people get upset. Cortana dies but not really because outrage. Prometheans are the main enemy but not really because outrage. Buggers got flak and they have practically disappeared from the galaxy (my favorite enemy BTW)
If people don’t like Prometheans then wipe them out in the game not just poof them from reality like how is that satisfying at all. If you hate them so much wouldn’t you want to destroy them…
What an absolutely ridiculous comment! I see it all the time. “Make up your guys minds.” You’d have to be pretty -blam- thick to assume an entire fanbase of people are constantly changing their minds on every topic at the exact same time versus the logical assumption that the fanbase consists of individual people with individual thoughts.
I’m happy if there are no always-ultra jumping prometheans in my way
you just proved my point. you guys continue doing this back and fourth.
first you guys were tired of the covenant. then the flood, then covies again. now prometheans. then soon banished.
what happens if you get tired of killing the banished?
its a problem with the community and franchise similar to call of duty. facing the same enemies over and over.
They might be in the final game. The Sentinel Beam is in MP and that was a Promethean weapon.
Sentinel beam is a forerunner weapon which is generally part of an aggressor sentinel. Not a promethean weapon. Prometheans may have used them, but that’s not where they originate.
Three possibilities: 1. You didn’t read my comment. 2. You read my comment but you’re trying to stir the pot because you’re bored. 3. You really are that thick.
@MinusSquire2145 that is the best profile picture ever. Where you get it. Also hopefully they don’t do this to the characters from four and five but lockle we don’t like him. But it is kinda nice that they aren’t here was tired of fighting them in five for most of all the missions.
Personally, my money is on them pulling a “it was only a dream” excuse.
Chief floating in space was from the failed jump in 3. Cortana is gone, plot from 4/5 never happened, and chief has been mia for a few years.
Alternatively, they pull a major leap in time, like Assassins creed brotherhood to 3. Then they just have 2 minutes of cutscenes, a few blurbs of dialogue, and some lore of this 15year jump or some crap.
No matter how it runs, there is zero way we can get from an ending like 5 (as garbage as it was) to him floating in dead space and suddenly shifting from cortana and promethians to brutes returning, without either option.
if the prometheans are to return , then they need to be re designed. I like them as a faction and their backstory being composed forerunner/ancient humans. However they were absolutelly no fun to fight. They feel soo incoinsistent. Sometimes you can kill them with a few shots and sometimes you’ll unload on them and they still wont phase. Even the whole promethean asthetic was kind $h!t . That whole floaty weapon and body parts whatever felt soo out of place in a halo game. Both in 4 and 5.
