The lack of playlists in this game is pretty inexcusable. Where are the playlists like doubles or snipers?
More playlists = thinner playlists. I don’t think the Halo 5 community is large enough to support a ton of playlists which is probably why they do the weekend playlists.
Again? We get it. There should be more playlists.

It only means that because everyone is leaving for other games due to lack of content.

Haha sounds about right. Can’t keep a large community alive with scraps

I know, but all three of the other wheels are squeaking the same thing.
Nothing wrong with you making the post, its just a little redundant and the communities opinion is very well known haha

That’s certainly a part of it. But there are definitely other contributing factors…
-
Aesthetics - Halo 5 is probably one of the least aesthetically pleasing FPS games on a next gen console. Graphics and architecture from other games like COD and Battlefield blow Halo 5 out of the water.
-
Customization - It is no secret. Customization in video games is a huge part of what drives success, and in Halo it is seriously lacking. Besides armor you cannot change much. Other games like COD and Battlefield let you have some say in what type of weaponry you start with. (I get that fighting for power weapons is a huge part of halo strategy and is what some players love about halo, but we cannot ignore the fact that this very same thing drives people away from the game.)
-
More fun - I think especially casual gamers just genuinely have more fun in other games. Other games are easier to pick up right away, which drives population up, causing more of your friends to buy lets say COD instead of Halo. Well, I want to play games with my friends, therefore I’m also going to buy COD instead of Halo. (I have both, and I will play whatever one that my friends are currently playing, which makes my point.) Not to mention no one is ever going to ban me from playing COD.
But yes, lack of playlists is huge. Maybe if they made a separate playlists that was more causal (no bans, join in progress) more players would have more fun.
I don’t think those playlists would make it on their own.

Josh Holmes said himself “H5 MP has the best player retention of any Halo game other than H3.”, so I don’t think the population is the problem. Unless he just made that up.

I’m not going to disagree with that, I’m inclined to believe you… but retention means keeping players that have already been playing. Not growing the franchise to include more players.
I’m glad BTB and Grifball got some new maps but honestly I don’t see this game really improving much at all at this point. What exactly have they done so far to warrant having much hope? Add in a delayed feature in Forge, neglected BTB for months, added in one game mode which isn’t even fully implemented in matchmaking yet (no oddball, no assault in btb), more REQs?
Where are the bulk of the game modes, playlists, major UI overhauls? I’m getting pretty tired of Arena in general and Warzone. Grifball and BTB are pretty much all I bother with outside of Warzone grinding with pals.

Very good point. That statement was made 2 months ago, so the population could have dissipated.
At launch, I would agree, but I’m pretty satisfied with the playlist selection we have now.

Questions worth an answer, but I feel we’ll never get one.
With the current region lock more playlists would kill the game for EU players.
everyone just wants infection and theres me wanting race multi team and dominion

Ugh warzone playing the same 4 maps over and over and over again and still some times I’ll only get 2 maps over and over they seriously need to add at least 4 more warzone maps

Launch arena playlist selection: Team Arena, Team Slayer, Breakout, FFA, SWAT, plus a weekend playlist.

I don’t know man, just two added playlists are still under par of where they should be.
