The “Lack of Content” Talking Point is Hypocritical

they have in every cod since the original Modern Warfare

Every COD also costs full price, along with battle pass and cosmetic packs. You can drop hundreds of dollars in no time on a CoD game.

I’d also much rather have paid full retail price for Halo Infinite than this half baked incomplete crap F2P effort…I may have even bought the BP like I did in COD every season. Actually come to think of it, may they decided to make Halo Infinite F2P because they knew they would take pelters if they tried to package and sell yet another incomplete mess of a game at full retail price.

Anyone can spend hundreds of dollars, pounds or euros in the broken mess of the Halo store too…you’ve just got to be a brain dead idiot to spend that kind of money in either game.

Anyways, 343i is due a wake up call very shortly…it was confirmed today that Infinity Ward are developing and releasing the sequel to COD MW19 and COD Warzone this year and it will be on a new engine. Unfortunately this will be another nail in the coffin of Halo Infinite as I doubt they’ll have sorted the issues or content by the end of the year. If only Infinity Ward could be given the Halo franchise…we might actually get a decent game with content.

Warzone and Mobile are free.

warzone isn’t a full game, its one game mode
You want MW? BlOPs? Vanguard? $60 minimum.

The Mobile version has the usual multiplayer, a battle royale mode, a zombie mode and some events.

You also get the campaign for that $60, and Black Ops even had an emblem creator.

The lack of content is blatantly obvious especially when stacked against older titles at their launch.

Infinite will never be past titles in the series but 343 could at least try and act like they’re doing something besides milking the fu***ng store.

Just as an example halo 3 launched vanilla with 11 maps and received it’s first dlc of 3 maps within 2 months of release. halo 4 and halo 5 received their first dlcs in roughly the same time frame.

It’s been 4 months now since infinite multiplayer launched with 10 maps and that is still where we are at. All that we’ve gotten is cosmetics crap. No maps, no content to speak of.

Oh they added playlists that should have been considered and there from the start let’s bow down to 343. OMG they got big team battle working after months when that should have been all tested out and stabilized 4 months prior during all of the various flights.

I’m just so tired of seeing people defending 343 for becoming more incompetent day by day and it drives me mad because I really do love the way this game plays.

Under the skin there is a god tier game lying there but what they’ve done with it is just uninspiring and sad.

The campaign was the best part and having beaten it I have absolute 0 reason to touch it for the foreseeable future being that I mainly play co-op campaign or forge with my kid

(still mad about mcc pc split screen and won’t forgive 343 til that is implemented. to them it’s just another feature that was core to the franchise since it’s inception but they’re willing to just throw to the side and make blank promises that it will come later.)

All I can really say is that hearing about all of the craziness that went on during the development of this game it seems it is time that 343 goes through some serious internal reorganization from top to bottom.

Maybe but it’s on MOBILE, so who wants to play cod on their phone

That’s irrelevant considering it’s a free Call of Duty with the usual multiplayer as well as a battle royale mode.
Also, apparently a lot of people want to play CoD on their phone, since it seems to be doing well enough.

Warzone is free to play, and you can unlock weapon skins in warzone…

Wouldn’t it have been crazy if 343 had made it where players can earn the other 50 default colors from Halo 5 instead of paywalling them.

I mean how badly do they need money or how uncreative do they have to be to not have that as a feature.

Kinda sad really. But hey I’m sure people are super excited to pay for generic Green.

how many people play it

Imagine 343 building a game that’s sapposed to get constant updates but also build a UI that wasn’t design to get constant updates.

When it released, it had 86M downloads with about 5M downloads each month.
Also, it seems to be making millions each month.

Literally not.

Saying a game has little content and going to a collection of games, all of which had more content individually at their respective launch, and time frame, is not conflicting at all.
What they opt to play, is an entirely different thing altogether, because the content this game lack and they desire is still in the games they play.

Not only that but any content they do miss in this game, which is present but not used by them now, are things they most likely did use back at those game’s releases, an opportunity they do not have now, because it is not there.

Now this thread.
The way I see it, someone likes Infinite but their playgroup doesn’t. Following an argument they play Halo MCC and exclaim excitement over a specific mode. You’re not happy with this outcome and come here for validation in your belief that they’re wrong and in your opinion hypocritical, because they HAVE to be wrong, to you Infinite is playable and fans on here are surely to agree with you and prove you right.
I could go so far as to call this thread, complaining for the sake of complaining, and that’d then in turn make this entire thread hypocritical.

That’s basically what you presented.

I don’t know about the latest iteration, but COD Warzone on Verdansk always had BR (solos, duos and quads), Plunder and event specific modes…and then they added Rebirth Island with a variety of game types too. Throw in the BP, levelling up weapons and an abundance of cosmetic options, and you have a very full F2P game on its own…which is what 343i are trying to sell us with this incomplete mess of a game.

I’d have happily paid £100 or more for an all singing and dancing Halo Infinite with all our usual campaign, MP maps, MP game types, customisation options, etc; with a steady stream of new content…instead they’ve got £0 out of me and I won’t be spending anything on it with the game in the state it’s in now.

how have I never even heard of it, nor do I know anyone that plays it

I stopped playing warzone when they did an update that broke the game for months and made it unplayable, so I wouldn’t know about how it is now

No idea.
I don’t think I know anyone that plays mobile games, but those games somehow make billions from people who play them…
Well, the popular games anyway.

Which update was that? I don’t recall any update that broke the game for months and I literally played it every day throughout the pandemic. I stopped playing Warzone at the end of May last year when the cheating just got totally out of hand and decided I’d much rather enjoy the good weather instead…and wait for Halo Infinite, so this pile of garbage is very much a disappointment.

You are wrong, Halo 5 had warzone since beginning a completely new mode, and what does infinite have?
