The kill medal is still in the game.

I noticed while watching Warzone that the kill medal is still awarded for… well killing someone.
But while watching Arena it wasn’t there. Thanks 343 for taking it out of arena.

I think it is still present in Warzone for casuals who need a big symbol to let them know they killed someone.
Thoughts?

Although I don’t paticularly care for it, when gunning along side 11 other players, a little more affirmation that you secured the kill isn’t something I’ll complain about.

It’s there to help distinguish an AI Kill and a Player kill.

This is part of it. Basically, your REQ energy cap increases when you earn medals and when your team accomplishes important stuff, so the kill medal shows you when you get a kill, adding more to your cap than killing typical minion AI or getting an assist. Hope that helps.

“Hey mah! I got this dou-bley kill just now, what does that mean?”
"Just look to the right, honey. "
“Oh, it’s a kill-kill!”

I don’t mind the kill medal. If you look at someone’s medals after a match and there’s a tonne of generic kill medals you know he/she used automatics the whole time.

Hopefully next they’ll add a medal for finding a match, or entering a vehicle. I’ll feel really good about myself.

I think it’s good for warzone because so much is going on so you know if you or the other 11 team mates killed someone. I’m glad it’s not in arena though. it’s not needed there since there are so few people in a match.

Makes sense. The Kill Medal only ever existed as a hack, to let kills reward us in systems that were tied to medals. Glad to hear it’s gone from Arena.

I do prefer medals that are actually significant like multikills or perfect kill but there are too many medals. Theres pretty much a medal for everything. It is a good way to track what you have done in a game though. Wheres my medal medal?

I think some medals are not useful and are just the for a accomplishment but some like reversal and final shot and last strike are awesome.

why don’t you just view weapon of choice? but I kinda get what you mean

I don’t mind it either in Warzone, I just noticed it. It was hard for me to find a video with someone killing a spartan with the AR. Everyone was getting headshots.
