Why do I get feeling that players are not able to jump as high as the previous games? Maybe because Clamber has to do with the jump height being crippled just so it can be accommodated, but that is just speculation. And before you make yourselves look ridiculous and call me a “nitpicker” or a “complainer”, I just want you people to know that this is just a concerned thread.
I actually thougth that they increased the jump height after watching RUL’s videos.
They don’t jump as high because they are spartan IV’s. Inferior to spartan VI’s in every way. They were used in H4 too. God knows why 343 decided to use shorter, less powerful, shorter jumping, less badass all-around spartans in H4 and now H5. Maybe it gives them an excuse to include sprint. What a joke.

I already know that they Spartans IVs, so that is nothing new to me. It looks as if the jump height is even lower in Halo 5 than it is in Halo 4.
Jump height needs to at least be high enough to jump over a charging Ghost. That frustrated me about Halo Reach and 4. If you didn’t have armor lock, thruster pack, or jetpack, you were screwed. Even though we all have thruster pack now there are some fundamental principles that need to remain from the old games. I will be sure to let 343i know about this when the Beta drops.

Oh don’t start this complete -Yoink-. Halo Reach had Spartan 2’s and one of the lowest jump heights in the series, Spartan 4’s have nothing to do with it.

It may just be because the developers wanted to utilize different game mechanics… The model of spartan doesn’t matter.

I don’t think 343 actually just make Spartans jump higher or lower in multiplayer because they are a different class of Spartans they put things like thruster and clamber in mind when deciding jump hieght. They are canonizing the multiplayer but not to that extent, jumping has been relatively different in every game its not just duh they are spartan IVs they jump differently, its a game mechanic which means its a balance issue more then a canon issue if it was done only with canon in mind it would not be balanced they know that, they have the pro players in there telling them these things.

Precisely. I dont understand why people continue to insist there is a canon reason for that.
