What do you think about Johnson and his place in the meta right now?
I think even with his recent buffs , he is still a lackluster and D-F tier.
His Hero is still weak, he has no good early game a bad to medicore mid game and a ok lategame .
He is in need of a bigger buff, for both his mechs , hero unit and leader ability.
I think Johnson is the most underrated leader in the game. He plays very different from other leaders but he’s no longer garbage.
If you use him correctly, he can be very powerful
He’s top tier. If it wasn’t for the broken leaders (Arby, Pav, Ship, Deci) he would be #1.
His hero isn’t weak at all. He as less health than a Spartan, but he’s faster, which lets him kite infantry really hard early on. His early game is great, as you can mass Flamers and Pelican them wherever you want. His mid game isn’t bad anymore as the Mantis buffs and ram nerfs were quite good. And his late game is insanely good. Banished literally roll over and die vs late game Johnson.
EMP mac could stand to be improved, but overall he is performing quite well.
I heavily undervalued how strong Johny is with this current update. He’s honestly pretty strong.
Pelican + Flamers is extremely strong, and UNSC doesn’t really have an answer for it. And it’s very strong against Banished. Then, mid game, just play Marines, hero, and Flamers until the Thicc Colosuss come out and roll everything.
Without Glassing Beam, he’ll never be too tier (in the current meta), but he’s up there.
So, to summarize;
-amazing early game
-solid mid game
-amazing late game
