It seems like I find myself calling Masterchief, John, instead of Master Chief. I think it may be because I am beginning to discover so much more about him (especially because of the Hunt the Truth logs) Do you ever find yourself calling him John, or is the Chief your true name for him?
BTW: By often, I mean do you call him JOHN often.

I was about to crown you, king of the universe, but the name doesn’t roll off the tongue like Master Chief.
I don’t call him Chief unless i’m separating his two persona’s.

WAAAT? Jameson Locke? Guys, we have a celebrity in the HAUS.
I use them interchangeably. Although I usually use John when I’m describing his history and personality, and more often Chief when I’m just discussing him in relation to gameplay or his role in a specific scene or book.

Anyhow, when i’m talking about the Master Chief, i am talking about the legend. When i talk about the man, it’s John.
I used to only call him Master Chief or Chief. I’m starting to drift to 50/50 MC/John as of late.
I call him chief for everything. It rare I call him john.

rarely is it john, except if his back story or Halsey are involved.
I think it depends who I’m talking to.
I usually just call him The Master Chief, or just Chief. I don’t think I’ve referred to him as John 117 or just John.
I usually go with John or just 117. Calling him Master Chief is fine, but there are probably a few thousand MCPOs in the UNSC at any given time.
For me it’s The Master Chief, The Chief, or just 117
I use John mostly. And have for a while.
I call him the Big Green Guy.
Though, I have been calling him John more when I found out his name.
