Invasion type gametype but just Spartans vs Spartans. I always enjoyed Invasion, although map design was sooo poor on most maps (oh lets have the attackers spawn on this raised platform that can be easily spawn-trapped).

I hope playing as an Elite dies with Reach. The only positive experience I have had with an Elite is the noise they make when they die. And they do that perfectly well in campaign/Spartan ops.

Wasn’t scratch the itch about Invasion gametype and not about Elite. I know a lot of people miss that but there was two question in the same sentence (the first about Elite, the second about Invasion). Answer was no to the return of the elite and said there would be something to scratch the itch about invasion.
Now that you’ve mentioned Elites, it just popped in my head: it would be cool to play a Spartan Ops episode as Elites vs Promethean Knights. You know…sorta Invasion gametype on Reach; you get to play either as an Elite or as a Promethean Knight.
But just for one episode, I want to play the rest of the Spartan Ops season as a Spartan, fighting both covies and prometheans.
That could make for an itch scratching.
What do you guys think?
i found a post retaining to the playing as the elites on some spartan ops mission. As well the Arbiter will make camo appearances in spartan ops as well. I don’t think this post is true but i can see the arbiter making appearances in spartan ops.
Well, Kiki did say that Invasion was a very important aspect of Halo that won’t be leaving Halo at all; I think it accidentally said by her.
Invasion, or something VERY similar to it, is staying in Halo. Maybe this is what they have in store for Elite fans?
But we’ll have to wait till PAX.
I believe frank in a post alluded to there being “elite ops” missions down the line involving the arbiter.
It would be sweet if we got to play as Promethean Knights
As a now former Elite player myself, I was very disappointed with what Reach did with elites in MP as well as removing their customization.
Halo 4 even more so with the removal of the feature as a whole.
