You know, how sometimes when playing campaign online, there would be button lag, where you press a button to do an action and it takes several seconds to actually do it? This always ruined playing Campaign and Spartan Ops online for me. It would likely be gone with dedicated servers, but I doubt they’re going to use dedicated servers for Custom Games and Campaign. So, that leaves me to wonder whether or not the netcode has been improved in that aspect.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
I share the same concern, i don’t think ive ever had a session of campaign co-op, spartan ops or firefight that wasn’t laggy.
Yes. I too hope that this has changed. Spartan Ops was designed to be a co-op experience but that was ruined by the campaign lag that has always been there since Halo 2. I hope it has changed with dedicated servers.
Ahhh yeah, the heavy/floaty feeling, had that problem with Reach’s Firefight… Hopefully that won’t be a problem with dedicated servers, if they are used in these regards… One can hope.
That really put me off from playing Spartan Ops. Hopefully it is alleviated with the dedicated servers.

Yeah. Not to mention back in Halo 3 and ODST, it made doing the Vidmaster Achievements alot more difficult, and seeing how Annual is back from Halo 3…
