As you all already know, the head of 343 since its inception, bonnie ross has stepped down effective immediately. Some of you who are the most critical of the company are cheering and celebrating. However, this may lead to further roadmap delays. One of the biggest challenges of this development cycle has been the department shifts. There have been several this year and yet another this week. This time around was mostly upper management. So, while the grunts have their assigned projects, there is now an open window for priorities to shift. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. Good because now there’s a real chance that Splitscreen campaign gets uncancelled and desync becomes #1 priority for the MP team. But bad because then everyone else is going to get moved around again and some things will fall through the cracks.
These next 3 months are going to be very hard for all the people at 343 & certain affinity. But I think it’s going to be a very special time for the community as well. A lot of you will fall in love with Halo all over again.
