I didn’t really like the hydra that much until a few matches ago when I learned how to use it well and what a weapon it is! You can pretty much dominate the match if you can just get used to it.
Unless people keep shooting you… kinda annoying that being shot knocks you out of Smart-Link.
its all right and I love it in a confined space but as soon as I get it I become the target so not fun when its 5 against 1
It’s got a learning curve but once you know how to use it, it’s amazing especially on larger open maps like in btb
I was the same at first until I learned what it’s capable of (I’m not going to tap the fish bowl)

When the game was still new I loved it but It’s not really that great if people know how to dodge the shots.
With its lock-on range, most of the time if they are out in the open you could kill them just as fast with the pistol.
It’s good for using the Rocket Launcher as bait on eden or catching someone who is trying to get into cover around a corner though.

90% of the time the shots are dodged so easily it’s laughable.
The 10% of the time it is useful is for killing people sprinting out in the open who have no cover to reach in time. Those same people can be killed easily by virtually any gun in the game.

I enjoy using this against ghosts. Does a good job of hitting the player driving.
It is okay if you can stay back and use it. I always see a lot of people try to use it in a one on one scenario and get their butts handed to them.
I agree it’s a very good weapon if you’re not spotted or if your target is distracted. Pain in the -Yoink- trying to lock on if you get shot at lol. I also think most people or at least half fail to realize it can shoot around and over cover if you angle it correctly.
Its ok in Warzone. It sucks in slayer particularly Plaza. 90% of the time you end up way to close or too far away for it to be effective. Had a player literally jump straight forward at me missing all the shots I fired at him from about 10 to 15 meters roughly. He didn’t straft he just moved forward jumping and dodged them. to even have a chance to use it in Plaza you have to camp up high and hope nobody sees you. The rockets are too slow for it to be of any use too unless you catch somebody completely unaware and they are not moving too much.
It’s useless in a 1v1, it’s useless if there’s a lot of cover around. If you’ve found someone out in the open with nowhere to hide, who’s not shooting you, you can just 4 shot them with the BR anyway.
great for flanking soft targets but really excels in BTB against annoying vehicles

The cool thing is, once you lock on, all shots track so even if you get knocked out of smart link, as long as you hold the trigger all shots will target the same enemy

Mate, lock on target, shoot 2 bullets straight up in the air. 100% kill guaranteed. The Hydra is so OP on Eden.
(for people who know how to use it though.)
