When going through the footage we have of the game I have a few areas where I think criticism is necessary.
When chief is firing on the enemies the hit markers were huge it added so much on the screen that it was distracting and felt like it started to take up too much space on the screen. Same with the shield recharge animation. It was bulky and and covered every border of the screen. Seems like it would take away the players vision at times where there is a lot of action.
anybody else have similar gripes. And by no means am I dismissing the game. It looks great so far but would love to see maybe a way to remove hit markers. Or maybe make shield recharge not to big on the screen.
I was not too disturbed with the hitmarkers, but I will say I found the shield recharge FX to be kind of irritating. I really hope they removed those massive hexagons around the screen
Hit markers are fine. 343 must love hexagons between the hexagon pillars and now a bunch of hexagons on your screen when recharging your shields lmao. It doesn’t bother me that much, but after watching the gameplay demo so many times I’ve gotten used to it.
I wasn’t disturbed by them but I hope they can add some type of toggle or adjuster for it.
I want the bullets in the HUD back, they were unique to halo
I think that hitmarkers are just fine. But, as i said many times, please, let us customize our hud.
I think a customizable HUD would be the best thing for Infinite. I think we should be able to customize things like the HUD color, and I also think that one should be allowed to disable hit-markers, disable the obnoxious shield recharge effect, change the ammo counter from the numbers to the classic counter, etc. This would allow for a wonderful level of customization beyond the armor. I also think that the shape of the HUD should change depending on the helmet you are wearing, similar to how the HUD would change depending on which character you were playing in the Halo 5 campaign. That last request would probably take too much effort from 343 for it to be worth it but I do believe that my other requests are doable and will affect Infinite in a positive way.
