Halo 2 Classic and Halo 3 gives the host a maaajor advantage. Hir shots have better registration than everyone elses and sometimes allowes people to perform surten button combos in Halo 3.
In Halo 4 doesn’t really matter, it’s fairly trash anyway.
In Halo CE the host has a big big big disadvantage. Hir shots register extreamily slow or not at all, the one who hosts a custom game or MM game in CE will most likely have a hard time.

Halo 2 Classic and CE are almost unplayable if your’e (or not) host.
Host has always had the advantage.
Tell me about it… I got into an argument earlier today with someone because I six-shot BR burst his brains all over the wall yet he didn’t die and he drilled me in 3 shots. Yes that was classic Halo 2, all Australian I might add. Yet this one other guy was just so… Over powered.
What ever happened to those ‘dedicated servers?’
Wait I get it… Halo has… ‘Dead-icated servers’ meaning nobody is playing on the servers… There, solved that riddle for everyone, looks like we never had dedicated servers…
According to 343i, there is no host most of the time because games are on dedicated servers.
Like the match I played a few days ago on Rat’s Nest. I would just be walking, drop my Battle Rifle randomly, pull out an AR, then fall over dead. One guy on the other team just happened to have 43 kills while I had to reload my BR about 7 times before it actually reloaded. Dedicated servers.

You’re right I keep playing. …I play mostly CE and it is very inconsistent in gameplay. A couple of games yesterday I was trying to throw grenades. …arm was moving but no grenade. …also couldn’t reload pistol. I switched to btb in was also laggy and inconsistent.

I’ve experienced this. It’s really sad this crap is still happening.
I haven’t touched MP for about 3 months, and I won’t until they can guaranty it is all on dedicated servers; just add a browser and a population counter.

That sounds like complete bull to me, games lag all the time. I know dedis can have lag, but it’s so bad sometimes that I refuse to believe that most games are server-hosted.
