To keep it short, I’d rather earn my armor from legit skill (achievements such as Halo 3) or by having the option to buy what I want first (Halo Reach) than need to get the armor I want by pure luck (Halo 5).
I’m okay with the REQ system for Warzone (weapons, vehicles, ect.), but armor is just for making those micro transactions. It is especially annoying when they include emblem- which don’t decorate you in- game anymore- in those packs.

How the -Yoink!- did you get this far? I’m at like 70ish percent for both categories and this is the only game I play at this point. I haven’t spent a dime either, but that’s just impressive. Seriously, I’m impressed.
Well, there is nothing going to change around here anymore. But yes, I agree, everybody does. This system has his flaws but so far i don’t really have a problem with it, although I really miss those achievable armours like the hayabusa armour from Halo 3, from collecting all skulls.
I don’t care about unlocking armour. They all look awful anyway. I’ll stick to my mark iv and recon on occasion. The req system is what it is but I truly don’t see any “grind” in this game. You just play if you want, don’t if you dont.

Arena RP yields: 400-900
Warzone RP yield: 2,000+ after 10 minutes.
I stick to Warzone and play with a 12 man team to coordinate a core destruction after 10 minutes

I wish I could find 12 competent people in this game that all had Skype. I had a mic until my dog destroyed it.

Yeah, exactly this. Love the free DLC aspect that micro-purchases open up, and grinding always removes the RNG component eventually.
Honestly, after playing games like Diablo, it’s kinda funny to see people complaining about H5’s grind. I’m almost done all my Silvers already, don’t play a whole lot & still had time to level Alt. accounts. The game hasn’t really been out very long yet, the true grind has just begun.
But that being said, I would actually prefer a blend of all three approaches: some stuff purchase-able through a shop like Reach, specific feats like H3 & some sort of bonus random element like H5. Hopefully 343 can pull together all the best elements from each game for H6, like Reach’s stat/commendation tracking and maybe a theatre that actually works, lol.

War frame wasn’t that grindy for me and WoW is a completely difference genre
Implement a credit system similar to what Halo Reach had.
Most armor would just require having enough CR. Maybe the option to unlock a random piece for significantly less cost.
Some armor would be special and have a prerequisite on top of the CR requirement.

In hindsight I’m not sure why I ever liked MMO’s in the first place. Most MMO’s you just grind to unlock stuff to grind more. There’s very little actual gameplay.
