Now i know that many of the things announced in GI aren’t what we expected and aren’t what we wanted. But assuming you loved all the info that came from GI, I still can’t see what the “‘Holy sh–’ moment.” was? for me the closest thing was the spartan ops.
this is just assuming that you loved all the new things announced. don’t tell me that you liked or hated the GI article. just tell me what you think Matt meant was the ‘holy sh–’ moment?

Could have been the Spartan Ops. But the thing that jumped out to me the most was Forerunner vision, but I don’t see that being the star of the article.
They’re referring the “holy s-t moment” to something in the story, similar to the flood’s unveiling in Halo CE. It’s not anything to do with game features such as Spartan Ops.
Well, in my opinion the biggest reveal there was indeed Spartan Ops, so I’d venture a guess that was intended to be the “Holy Sh–” moment…

I doubt that, No way could Spartan Ops be an Oh Sh*t moment when it hasn’t even been put into detail yet.

Damn, I just realised: even though I now don’t want anything shown of the ancient enemy (Forerunners) at all before launch, the next issue of OXM will have them in it. 18th April, if I recall correctly.

I don’t know. It could possibly be the forerunner reveal, but it could be an entirely new enemy, one we’d never expect to see.

i realize you don’t like the info in it. but i am just asking a hypothetical if we were supposed to like all the new info then what was supposed to be the ‘holy sh–’ moment.

i didn’t realize their was another thread. anyways i am just asking hypothetically if you liked the info.
The campaign as far as i am concerned will be good enough to at least excite me or entertain me, especially the feeling of exploration all over again and finally discovering what the -Yoink- this Ancient Evil is! (god only knows how much i want to see what they are and what their story is!).
But multiplayer wise i am really worried, i was furious at first but have since calmed down and currently semi-mourning the passing of Halo, maybe 343i will prove me wrong in the coming months but at this point in time i cant help but feel i have been lied to on that aspect of the game.
Only time will tell but right now my faith has completely died and thats a sad thing for me as i had so much faith when i learnt about the talent and money Microsoft were literally throwing at 343i and particularly with Frankie at the helm (the man was a god in my eyes then) the future was looking brighter, then came the first look vidoc, i lost quite a bit of faith yet i still had some and now? i have none

The holy sh** moment shouldve been that i can expect to play a balanced game with a 1-50 Ranking System.
i think he meant the whole article because he knew that it would be a hit in the face for every halo fan,honestly when i saw the article the first time i just thought holy sh–
Guys, it’s obvious: the “Holy sh–” moment is when the Reapers show up and beat the living cheese out of Master Chief. By saying this will be a more “personal” story 343 has made clear that he, too, is indocrinated.

apart from the balanced game play. i don’t recall any announcement about the ranking system. did you read something about the ranking system?
Maybe the “Holy sh*t” moment is when we got these -Yoink- news like Wallhax (I know it’s not gonna be wallhax, but I prefer to call it that) and that other stuff… lol
