The High Level Delemma

For some reason I feel that the halo wars community as a whole has become slightly better, but there is still a lack of high level players. I would like for there to be new players that are high level so that there aren’t the same people all the time. Idk what are your opinions on this subject?

I have had Halo Wars since March 3rd of 2009. I preordered it and even got limited edition, but I never tried to climb the leaderboards. I win most of my games anyway, so I never bothered.

I got bored and made another account and got that to a General aswell… I would play but it just isn’t as re-playable as H3 in my opinion.

I desperately need new friends to play this game with. I’m getting back into it to get to General, I am a Major now, less than 10,000 points away from Commander. It is starting to look like an impossible challenge or rather one that will take up a few months of my time but it would go much faster if I had some regular teammates who knew what they were doing.

Help me out!

I started to play Halo Wars “seriously” about 2-3 months ago. I play about 1-5 hours a day 1v1 and read/watch every bit of information I can find about it. My TS has raised from 18 (which it was, since I played few games back 2009 and 2010) to 37. I have serious doubts do I ever make it over 40. That is enough challenge for me. I think I will play as long as my play improves.

I wouldn’t say I’m high level exactly, but I know most of the strategies and I adapt quite well. PoR ftw.

I agree . I know every single person that gives me a good game and unfortunately there aren’t many. It’s just getting boring beating bad kids the whole time. I cant even fastsearch because there may only be 1 or 2 good teams searching at an evening.

I would rather lose 20 min. high level games than winning against noobs within 10 min.
I cant imagine how boring it is for the really high level players

I think you can make it to 39-42 with just strats and builds. from 43 and up it is all about the mistakes a person makes or leader screws.

add me some time so we can play privates if you want coz im getting bored with this game

I need players who do not suck, or players who are not idiots. Please Ranks means nothing, true skill matters only.

In my opinion, I believe that there are less than 50 high level players :frowning:

Most of the really good players moved on to Starcraft or some other game. Now there’s just a handful of high-level grinders playing. All the top players quit (with the exception of bb2010, Tx Xfactor, and Mighty Icy).

I like halo wars and i’m good! I also like cats but jellyfish more. also there are still good players out there. this game has a lot of potential.

tx xfactor only become good after grinding lots of games. That’s what ive been told

I think you lost to me like 10 mins ago klick a klacka… It was a really good game though.

the only times I’ve faced xfactor were on pirth, and he was anders the first time, and cutter the second time. I play prophet, so I got pretty crushed. could’ve done better against his anders if I had set my rally point on my grav lift, and then my hunters decided not to go through it but dance around instead.

Yeah he was one of the few grinders to grind out of mediocrity and actually become a really good player. He has kicked my -Yoink- plenty of times now in 1s. :stuck_out_tongue:

That is pretty true for most games.

Take a look at MLG. There are only really 8 top teams and usually it is only 4 of them that stay on top all season.

The best of the best is always a small pack. There are good players in every game - so it is not something that is new.

good job beating me when I lagged out in the first 3 min.
invite me for a 1v1 whenever you want

Haha I must suck then. I was pretty happy to get to 32… I should start playing more seriously.

Hey, as long as we’re on the subject, and this topic has some great players, would anyone care to tutor me and my friend? We like playing 2v2s, and have a trueskill of 25, but we want to get into higher level playing and winning more often. Our gamertags are FA W4R M4CHIN3 and AirborneTerrier.
