This topic might be considered spoilery for some, so if you don’t want to have anything ruined for you, you might want to avoid this thread.
So this has just been discovered today by someone on Twitter (I don’t use the platform and instead found out via This article on Game Informer) that the Halo Infinite E3 trailer had a hidden QR code that led to some hidden Cortana dialog, which may mean a Halo Infinite ARG is on the way.
Or that my personal theories on what the story of Infinite might be about that I posted in several threads after the trailer dropped are looking more correct. Basically that we’re going to be seeing a ‘good’ Cortana being found and using her to defeat the ‘evil’ Cortana abomination that we were given in Halo 5. And that maybe we’re dealing with a huge timeskip after which Evil Cortana has already fired the Halo Ring she stole and all that is left are the rag-tag survivors.
Naturally, I’m predisposed to support the latter more than the former (especially so because I don’t bother with ARGs).
So, Halo Waypoint Lore forum, what say you? What are your thoughts? Is this a possible ARG, will we be getting two Cortanas, or do you think that this is just ‘evil’ Cortana seeing the error of her ways? Do you think that this might reveal more of the world of Infinite post Halo 5, or that we’ll simply see something along the lines of ILoveBees or some introspective look into Cortana’s mind? Or is this just interesting mis-direction by 343i and it’ll be something entirely different?
