I’m sorry if there’s another thread like this, but from the helmets we’ve seen, am I the only one upset about the lack of visor? Now I know these that we have seen are just a few of the helmets, but all except the Chief’s default seem to have very little visor. Even the default multiplayer helmet doesn’t really look to have too much of a visor. What’s the upside to seeing less? And some of them have visors in the most random of places.
Now yes, I understand this is all cosmetic and none of it affects gameplay, but its still something that is a part of Halo. What do you guys think?
I agree there probably will be better things later but I have to say the ones we’ve seen recently are hideous… why an upside down “y”? Who needs a visor covering their eyes and NOSE?
…
It’s just a game version: They probably just wanna explore some new art and design styles. Halo 3/Reach had good armor, as most would agree. However, even if a few armor pieces looked vastly different they all seemed to follow the same baseline art style. This is just them branching out and taking in some new ideas.
Lore version: Well, a visor is pretty weak so if you have a big visor, it’ll be easier for enemies to headshot you if your shields go down.
That’s something I’m thankful for. I like being able to pick and choose. I just hope we get some helmets with bigger visors. I know its a silly thing to worry about, but it can be something that bugs me.
> > The skin on the CIO armor is so distracting I can’t focus on the helmet and I think most of the helmets look pretty good, not sure about CIO.

> You also need to consider that those are simply pieces of concept art. We don’t know what they will look like in the actual game.
Lol I know, it’s just so hard to try to focus on the CIO armor with that web skin lol.
Yes well Stark also has somewhat of a smart AI in there and I don’t see every Spartan walking around with a smart AI. Plus I don’t see a reason for a visor on the forehead or the nose. Its really just personal preference in visuals for me.
What’s even more disappointing is the very awkward third part of visors we keep seeing… such as that Dead-Eye helmet… just… what the hell? Yeah it’s been said already a billion times, but honestly, it looks like something I’d see in freaking anime.
And don’t even get me started on that CIO helmet .__. Third eyehole? What the hell?
> Agreed.

Uhh…You started…All by yo’ own self.
OT: Seriously, you guys shouldn’t judge the whole armory from a few sets.
I mean, there is always a vast selection. Just hold your horses and wait AT LEAST until E3…
