For full dedicated server support!
I dont see how split screen remove helps full dedicated server support. Split screen just adds another player. Server support, I dont even know what it does, but Im sure to hell it has nothing to do with split screen at all!
Split screen was amazing. Actually, if we insist to 343 Industries for inclusion after the release of the game, we could have it.
Although it is only a dream … a beautiful dream.
Because split-screen was detrimental to the performance of Halo 5. It is not within the Xbox One’s capability to render even two screens at 60fps. They were trying to maintain a stable, consistent frame rate. They said it was a hard decision to make and it was in the game up until very recently. 4-player split-screen went first, then co-op, then online multiplayer, then offline multiplayer. Ex-Bungie employees Jaime Griesemer and Marty O’Donnell both feel that the decision 343 made was in fact the best decision, mentioned that Bungie had once considered cutting split-screen in either Combat Evolved or Halo 2, and even after that it was still mulled around because it presented problems.

Try to make the bug 4 Split screen players in any Halo of 360. The Game turning to lower resolution, even it breaks

Yet another thing that people are blaming 343 for that isn’t even their fault.
I can understand the desire to keep this feature available even though it doesn’t affect me personally. Can’t say I’ve needed a 2nd controller to play Halo since 2 years into Halo 3. Even at LAN parties, by now anyone who was a more-than-casual fan of Halo at least owned an Xbox 360 at some point. I don’t think this is going to be as big an issue as people are making it out to me - and no, I’m not trying to be an apologist for anyone. This console generation’s hardware is already becoming dated technology, and that is a deeply rooted problem that you cannot blame any single entity on.
How do people keep missing the dedicated splitscreen thread?
