Unless its made to stay to true origins it would be a flop, like Halo Reach. try using that argument with Reach saying “Bungie built it so we should appreciate the MM(which sucks) and the Campaign (which was contridicting)” when it release people were hyped but now you will never get away with that arguement

You sound like another novice who never learnt to do more than pull a br/magnum trigger (you may as well go play a paintball game if thats as limited as your skills can handle). The series evolved with Reach, granted not everything worked out perfect with it, but its still a quality game and worthy of the Halo title. We got massive changes with both that and ODST, and whats wrong with a change now and then. Infact if it hadn’t have changed it’d look so out of date when compared to the fps’s running on cryteks cryengine3.
Your whole statement is a contradiction, its almost like its you who wants Halo to be like COD released with virtually no change from release to release. I’m proud of the quality work Bungie did with Halo and the fact they tried new things with every release. If you can’t handle change then don’t go make lan parties and play 2, while your stuck in the past the rest of us will go enjoy the future and an Halo than can compete with other new fps’s.

do not call me a CoD player as that is offensive and no CoD, they make changes but so small and Fup their MM even more.
I was the person in H2 saying wave upon wave of enemies would be awesome while wanna be MLG try hards said “if you wanna play against ai because you suck at MM you should get of of Halo” Yet firefight was an improvement. other things like loadouts were a failure because it was too cod like made gameplay unbalanced. so when they say “like it even though it completely contradicts Halo and ill still buy” is horrible. Thats like buying CoD if CoD had a storyline. Halo Reach Contradicted several Halo books. Thats why i though it should just be H4 and end it and give it an all out everything. im not gonna list all that i wanted or you would TL;DR me. Because the storylines are becoming more contradicting and it makes it less appealing to original Halo fans when the story doesnt make any *Yoinking! sense! CoD example: How does a guy activate a nuke launch on a sub by himself when it take 2 people to do it? Halo Reach: How does Doc Hansley say she has never seen spartans til Ghost of Onyx yet she is in a room with them in HR talking to them knowing they are not her S2s?

I was calm until he started calling me a CoD Yoink because in an original fan and i find that offense someone is calling me that. and yes BF3 > MW3 and Halo is amazing and needs to stay to the Core because it was so fun and branching off a little we saw what it did to Reach. staying to that core element is the most important part. the survival and popularity of Halo depends on it.
Couldn’t put it better myself, Halo is what counts, and the teasers to Halo 4 are exactly ‘what the doctor ordered’ they make great reasons for fans old and new to imagine what this new place the chiefs visiting will be like, and they will always try and ‘add they’re own ideas into the mix’ but that is human nature, you’d want what you’d like in a game right? so this thread kind of kills the enjoyment of fans by being so damn boring.
People said that about Reach too.

I like new and originality both. I loved the changes from one to another Halo games but reach i had the most frustration with. trying to make every weapon nerfed so they were all balanced map it too CoD. They can still add weapons as Power Weapons and do the amazing things that they do with still keeping originality.
I just think if AAs were somethign you picked up on the map instead of spawning with ALs people would have b*tched less. and Halo 4 is a new start and i know that they can still keep the origins there but still go with alot of new stuff
OP, this is all just for fun. 343 have already said they’re not listening to the forums when it comes to game mechanics. Don’t worry about it and just enjoy the ride. If it gets too scary, bail.

the thing is, the point of this forum is to help structure halo 4 even with ridiculous ideas for it may or may not happen or atleast give ideas to its creators for some future ideas as well. some people tend to complain more than help in these forums but it happens

Complaining equates to not liking something, and if enough people complain about something then that something perhaps needs revising, if not removing. Point is, “complaining” still offers helpful data. IMO, you have a bloated idea on how much devs take forum ideas into consideration.

I dont find anything wrong with CoD, WaW is still one of my all-time favorite games. To me, BF3 is overhyped. People act as if it’s special but honestly, BF: BC2 felt like a better game.
