i go from a week of great consistent shooting to 2 days of awful shots. I play enough halo to know somethings up. It’s not my controller and it’s something with halo 5. Servers idk. It pisses me off though. I’m champ 4 so it’s really frustrating when this happens. I can’t even play. Then I try messing with my settings in game and it does nothing. 343 just doesn’t want me getting champ 1. Reinstalling my game now. Maybe that will work. bout to just snap my disc

Happend to me the last two days! I feel your pain OP! It’s like your gun weighs a 1000 pounds! This only happens to me in Arena though, not as much in Warzone.
It’s the game. The aiming is so inconsistent and wonky in Halo 5. I can go to other games like MCC, Doom, Titanfall, what have you, and land most of my shots consistently. With Halo 5, I can do good for one minute, and feel like I’m fighting my control the next.
Latency Is the problem. Arena It’s really bad 90% of the time for me. WZ WZFF Just as bad this past week. when you sprint you can really tell, Its like running In slow motion and not smooth at all, Players vanish and come back ect.
My Internet Is good 150 mbps And 12.48 mbps Ping 46ms to New York, I am In CA.

OP I know exactly what you’re going through. I’m also a Champion in FFA and I too have noticed that on some days my aim feels tight and responsive then on others it feels as if my aim is sluggish and slow. At first, I thought it was just because of the new aiming system they’re using which is the two turn instead of the scalable aiming system but I can honestly say that I believe it’s an oversight on 343’s part during the development process. It’s almost as if there is very slight input lag. It’s small but it’s enough to be extremely noticeable for me. I’m not sure whether it has to do with something on the server end of things or if it’s a performance issue but I do hope they fix this soon or at least have a better aiming system for H6. Never have this issue whenever I switch to classic Halo games or any other game for that matter. I made a thread about it here which has gotten over 175 replies so a lot of people are having this same issue.
Also I’ve played you a couple of times in FFA hehe. I always lose however.

Actually it is. I have literally bought 4 modems in the last 5 days. New cables, had technicians out to my house twice, new xbox, new monitor. Nothing has fixed this problem for me…

It makes sense that it would be that. Sometimes it’s so bad that when you throw a grenade it’s literally a full second before you see the grenade flying. Sometimes it’s not quite that bad but still noticeable. Makes sense that there would be smaller amounts of latency that don’t quite cause visual problems but you can feel it in responsiveness. Throw in the fact that it can change even during the match and Halo is fun!

You are correct, It can change during the game.
It gets really bad when you play with players south of the Border, for me at least.

Then something is very, VERY wrong. Maybe you’re just in a really bad area for internet service. Who is your provider?
Play on a higher sensitivity… at LEAST 5 or 6.
For me it isnt only the aim that feels heavy. It is the entire gameplay that is slow. It seems like my character is bringing an heavy weight., even when running, jumps become more difficult, etc.
I think that is is a server problem. I am playing from EU and i ping 30 ms in game the nearest server.
I assume your deadzones are at 0, cause that was giving me input lag. Only solution seems to be to become a headcase and spam start mid game like contra.

Do you play arena? Do you actually play it? If not don’t talk. We are trying to make progress here. You literally don’t know what you are talking about. I have switched monitors, modems, cables, xboxs, controllers, HDMI cables, had my ISP out to my house 5 times to check the cable. Stop automatically siding with 343 and thinking its us. Its their servers. They are -Yoink- right now about 1/3 games. Its just terrible. They need to be reset or something. There’s something seriously wrong with this game right now with the heavy aiming.

For those who are saying that is our connection i can say that mine is almost perfect. I have a solid fibre 100/20mb, with in game a stable 30ms ping to netherland server, 50ms to ireland server, verified with netduma. I have also run pingplotter for 24hr and i had stable ping, 0 jitter, and 0% packet loss.
I have one of the fastest monitor (benq rl2455), i have a new xbox one s,new cat6 cable, but most of my matches in the lasts months were orrible, the game is not fluid, i feel it heavy and slow. I think that there is something wrong with servers, especially the netherlands.
