The hardest multiplayer achievement you've got?

Some multiplayer achievements for halo were notoriously difficult, especially if you don’t have friends to jump in and help you out. What was the hardest achievement you got on multiplayer? And what was one achievement that no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn’t get?

For me it’s the halo 4 one where you have to get a double kill with a single Promethean granade, I spent weeks at that, screw you crimson DLC.

killing frenzy achievement in halo 3

I don’t have even near them all… But for me the hardest was one I got on accident… Getting one for killings an 343 employee or someone who has before… It’s the hardest cuz I didn’t know it exsited and for two how would I or anyone know who has the achievement already… I actually got it on a new account I had made also haha so it didn’t count with all the others I do have…

I’d say that the hardest Multiplayer achievement for me was “Running the Show”. It’s hard for me to do something for hours on end with nothing to really do. Really boring.

I considered “Two for One”, but I got that one legitimately, and I only had to try for three or four games. So it wasn’t hard for me, personally. I know some who would disagree.

I forget the name, but the one where you have to splatter someone with a mongoose on Snowbound in a ranked, free-for-all playlist in Halo 3.

I -Yoinking!- hated that.

Running the show. Easily, one of the toughest achievements I ever invested time in.

This really isn’t an in-game achievement, but what I felt like should’ve been one is getting a killtrocity at Grifball, without spawnkilling (They had an equal chance)

What made the two-for-one so hard was that I only started in Halo 3 multiplayer after they took FFA down from 8 players to 6, and removed the SpLaser from Snowbound. Which meant you had to do it on High Ground, or you weren’t doing it at all.

A lot of those Halo 3 DLC acheivements got to be pretty difficult, and I’ll admit that I ended up stacking the deck in my favor to get most of them (I have Halo 3 perfect on achievements).

Although not the most difficult skill wise, the hardest for me was definitely ODST’s Vidmaster of “Endure” on Alpha Site. Not that it was especially hard (it wasn’t easy), but ODST’s servers for matchmaking were just so incredibly bad that the lag was borderline unbearable, so we couldn’t do it with friends over the internet. We had to get everyone on a local internet connection just to do it, and it still remained pretty laggy.

On Halo 4, the One Man Army. I almost never used a Rocket Launcher and every time I got one, a freaking Sniper appeared.

2 for 1 or mongoose mowedown. Both I got legit and those took forever

The achievement where you have to splatter someone with a mongoose in Halo 3. Got that one by pure accident, but I still hated it nonetheless.

For me it was one of the Halo 4 DLC achievements. You had to get an airborne kill while in a warthog. I finally got it by splasering a player while going off a ramp in the passenger seat, my brother got it the same way. I have all Halo 4 achievements now.

Assassinate a player using hard light shield was tough but I messaged a guy and we helped each other out. As for the double grenade one I think me and my brothers used rumble but I’m not sure.

Also Halo 3 mongoose mowdown. Spent a lot of time getting that but love the shoulder plates.

Hard light shield one is by far the hardest to do legit.

Halo 3’s Road Rage achievement was the hardest in my book. I almost never would end up with a good warthog driver. Either I get driven off a cliff, or the driver flipped the vehicle in ten seconds (or less) and we all end up getting blown up or killed.

Whaaa? You didn’t even have to do that in one life. You could do this achievement with no driver easy.

It was my luck with Warthog drivers, and people wonder why to this day I prefer a Ghost to this day over a Warthog. Sigh… even after I earned the achievement, this kept happening to me whenever I would be a gunner on a Warthog in Matchmaking. I don’t get in Warthogs anymore unless I know the player who is driving as I don’t like being flipped and then killed or driven off a cliff seconds after getting into a Warthog Gunner Seat.

Also, being in the gunner without a driver apparently made me a big target for some reason as well, so I guess it was simply a case of bad luck. I like my Ghost and the only reason why I easily earned the Halo 4 achievement “Now They Fly?” so easily was because I splattered an AFK player with a Warthog while driving it being airborne. I’m sure that would’ve been a pain too had I had to shoot and rely on a Warthog driver.

I still don’t have that one, so I may have to agree with the synopsis.
