I use the Soviet Union Flag as my emblem in Halo 5. But I don’t know why its in the game. Can y’all enlighten me?

I don’t seen an emblem that looks like the Russian flag. There is an emblem that has a hammer on it but it doesn’t have a sickle like the Russian flag

I just looked at your profile and the symbol you use has very little resemblance to the soviet flag other than it has a hammer.
I also looked the up the emblem and it is literally called the Hammer emblem. I think I got it recently for completing a commendation.
There is also a thread kicking around that lists every emblem’s unlock requirements.

I haven’t seen the emblem in a few days. I was kind of wondering why it was in there more than anything. Is it a reference to anything? I thought it was a Neo-Communist Flag or something.

I don’t think there is any specific reason why any specific emblem is in the game. It’s just there for the sake of being there. OR Req Collection Fodder.

Most likely, its a reference to Forge, which (when it first came out back in Halo 3) was represented with a hammer and anvil. I think it might still be actually.
I seem to remember getting it in Halo 4 for doing something related to Forging.
On the possibility of Neo-Communism, I will note that there WAS a movement (the Kolsovocs I think?) on one of the Jovian moons that styled themselves after the communists, but they were soundly pwned by fellow rebel group the Freideins and then the newly formed UNSC and eventually stamped out.
